First person car combat in WD2 and fix for Hogwarts Legacy
🕑 Added 2024-07-28 18:27:39 +0000 UTCJust like in Cyberpunk 2077, you can now shoot accurately from the comfort of your own car in Watch Dogs 2! (Or from the comfort of somebody else's car that you happened to steal, if you are so inclined).
Some of you noticed that aiming while driving was not working correctly in the previous release of the mod for WD2. There was a vertical offset between the crosshair and the point where your bullets ended up, and most importantly shooting in first person from a car was nearly impossible.
I completely reworked the camera system so that gaze-based aiming now works correctly even while driving in first person (actually it works better than in the original 2D version, because in the flat game you couldn't adjust your aim vertically while driving in the cockpit view).
Another effect of this redesign is that now the camera will stay locked to the car frame, instead of having a fixed inclination regardless of what the car is doing. This means that you'll finally be able to drive up and down the hilly streets of San Francisco without feeling that the car is being shoved in your face at every jump :-D
As usual, if for any reason you don't like the new behavior you can still return to the previous implementation (simply untick the "Special 1st person camera for vehicles" checkbox in the "WD2" overlay tab).
Release 12.7.3, attached below, also fixes Hogwarts Legacy VR which was broken by yet another official update.

In the save game menu the game is in 3D but after loading it is on the big screen. If I go into the menu briefly and then back out again it is in 3D for a second and then immediately switches to flat. Does anyone have a solution?

Greetings! Is this mod still workind despite new releases? im having a very hard time getting it to work. res is bad, rendering is far som smooth. HUD doesnt stick right, my quest 3 controllers doesnt work at all. Tried with air link, then i bought a link cable, installed mod v.17, but its the same. spent a lot of money on this at the moment, and its all for hogwards VR.
