Let's be honest about it: Dark Souls games are HARD. I can barely survive 5 minutes, and that's only if I don't move around too much and wake up too many undead enemies. Yet he makes it look sooo easy, even with the added challenge of playing in first person, with his face right up in the belly of the beast.
It's a pleasure to watch him play, because I almost feel like I could slash through dozens of enemies like he does, if only I wasn't so greedy and I didn't always try to squeeze in one more blow.

I would get the Scholars of the First Sin edition. That is the one Luke had when making the mod so the older versions could possibly have issues or not work. We don't know for sure. Plus Sotfs has all the DLCs and some new stuff added. I have played through almost the entire game now including DLCs. Only issue I had sometimes is when scripted events happen or there is a lot going on, I get a heavy frame drop and it has to climb back up to 180. I can just lower PPD and that solves it, but I'd rather enjoy it at high PPD with occasional drops :) I am farming the Giant Lord ATM and when the head comes rolling across the screen with all the enemies fighting, I get a big drop like that. Rest of the battle is perfectly fine though.

It's probably specified somewhere already (didn't see it), but does the mod work with all STEAM versions of the DS2? There's a standard edition and then a reworked one (forgot its name, but it's the one with better lighting, etc)... don't want to buy the wrong one by mistake, neither are actually very cheap given the age of the game.

Yeah I am now on the second map and I want to explore Kuttenberg so bad in VR. Walking through horse shit. ^^ Nah kidding but the visuals of that game are just amazing.

Generally for frame pacing 120hz would be best, but you may notice the judder more since the refresh may be quicker. There is no best I don't think.

Hi Brandon, i would like to ask two things: 1) What is the most suitable refresh rate for headset (among 72, 80, 90 and 120 Hz) when we are playing with Legacy AER? Somehwere i have read that the highest is not always optimal to reduce ghosting in Legacy AER. The other two 1/3 and 1/2 mods are unfortunately not options for me since my pc cant handle it smoothly enough (i have rtx 4070 super), 2) By 4 March GTA V pc will get an update with improved visuals and DLSS 3, so even unofficially a return back to the game would be nice. Does anybody know whether we can be able to play it still with version drawback (old exe but new dll files)?
