Why would Hokuto ask Mei to draw that stuff?
Well…
Let’s not forget—Mei is MiHoYo’s artist.
So Hokuto going to her makes perfect sense.
“Mei?”
Elysia softly called out again, as Mei had been lost in thought for a while without responding.
“Uh...”
Mei slowly returned to her senses, organizing her words.
“I saw that sticker set online too... Maybe it’s like the ones of Theres— Theresa. Probably fan-made by players.”
She shamelessly lied through her teeth. She didn’t confess the truth.
“Mmm... sounds about right.”
Elysia nodded naturally—she’d always admired the creativity of Honkai Impact 3rd players.
【I have Raven’s entire emoji set—RavenRolling.jpg, RavenWhereIsMyIsland.jpg... DM if interested.】
【Requesting the emoji set! I also have Theresa’s ‘Great’ Overseer pack. Let us bask in the wisdom (Theresa.jpg)】
【The one above, distributing our great Overseer’s ‘wisdom’ without permission? Confiscated! (Let’s discuss this privately)】
As the players veered dangerously off-topic,
Elysia grew worried a certain black-feathered Dodo might be watching the stream and would again...
So, to redirect their attention, she resumed the main story.
—In game—
Mei chuckled when Raven mentioned the kids had drawn her as a rolling stick figure.
“Pfft~~”
After all, Mei remembered what Sora had told her.
About what happened after Teacher Island sank...
How she ran out to the ocean, cried like a child,
And swore to the sunset—
“No matter the cost, humanity will defeat the Honkai.”
Raven rolled her eyes seeing Mei laugh like that,
But her tone was still gentle.
With Mei and Kevin, the players could clearly tell—
Raven’s attitude was noticeably different.
“If you get the chance, go visit them again. Sora really likes you.”
“Mhm, I promise.” Mei nodded.
“Well then, we’ve come far enough. The rest of the road... you’ll have to walk it alone.”
Raven waved a hand.
Then, perhaps deliberately, she added with a teasing tone:
“Excuse me for now? I’ve still got a pile of missions from Lord Kevin that I haven’t finished...”
That immediately piqued Mei’s interest—her curiosity sparked.
Besides, returning without learning anything wouldn’t mean much.
So, she made a bold decision to openly stalk Raven.
“I’m just walking the same road, not stalking you.jpg”
She even voiced her intent aloud:
“I’m going to follow you, Raven—openly follow you.”
“Hm?”
Raven didn’t seem surprised at all.
【Wait... is that something you’re allowed to say out loud?】
【Raven’s reaction is kinda sus—is this a trap?】
【Why do Mei and Raven feel so in sync? It’s like mutual understanding.】
【They probably have good compatibility. Their personalities are actually quite similar.】
“Compatibility?”
Elysia thought.
Come to think of it, Mei and Raven got along well in real life too.
She’d heard that when Raven first joined MiHoYo’s studio, it was Mei who helped her settle in.
Apparently...
Raven had even considered quitting back then?
But now—
Looking at how completely she’d embraced her role at MiHoYo,
It was obvious she’d long since abandoned that thought.
And surely... Mei must’ve played a role in that.
At least a little.
——
Back to the story.
The plot didn’t immediately follow Raven and Mei’s journey.
Instead, a cutscene began.
A still shot of Theresa, arms crossed, smiling in a “brilliantly intelligent” way—
Flashed on screen.
Theresa: I suspect the art team is targeting me.
Mei: ...No, that’s impossible. Totally not related. (Triple denial)
【Theresa finally has new plot content (ecstatic)! Though I don’t really get why it suddenly jumped to her.】
【Good job, MiHoYo! Auntie-only fans REJOICE! Theresa, please accept my candied hawthorn.jpg】
【You’re way too fluent with that sticker. Suspicious! Take this Judah.jpg】
The chat drifted again.
But someone brought the focus back.
【Given that this interlude is called Stigmata Project, does this mean Theresa’s going to get involved in it?】
【Remember Bronya’s past arc? Theresa has Kaslana genes too—technically part of the Kaslana line.】
【If she gets involved with the Stigmata Project... will she cross paths with Kevin? Could Theresa finally have her time to shine?】
“Time to shine?”
You mean like Theresa battling Kevin in the Kaslana Stigmata Space and getting launched... fighting for months?
The Overseer “falls in battle”... Destiny reinforcements nowhere to be seen—is it twisted humanity or moral collapse?
Stay tuned for...
Cough cough, enough nonsense.
After the cutscene, the screen faded in on outer space—or more precisely, lunar orbit.
The camera zoomed in, passing over the Hyperion—yes, the Hyperion.
Its full silhouette was shown.
Wait, why was the Hyperion at the moon?!
As players puzzled over this—
Theresa’s voice came in-game:
“Hyperion trajectory adjustment complete.”
“Relay signal locked.”
“The ship has entered lunar orbit.”
“Main engine shutoff.”
As her commands echoed, the camera moved from exterior to bridge.
Theresa came into view—
She was communicating with Salt Lake Base on Earth.
Then, suddenly—
A cheerful BGM began to play.
“Hi, Academy Head!”
“Kiana?”
Hearing the voice surprised Theresa. It was Kiana?!
【This cheerful BGM—my favorite from Honkai 3rd. It usually means nothing ‘weird’ happens. Just some fun daily life.】
【Love me some comfy slice-of-life. (serious)】
【It’s been half a year since we last saw Kiana—I missed her so much.】
【Little Bug! Long time no see!!!】
Kiana’s appearance made the chat explode.
【But wait, why isn’t Kiana in her Flamescion form?】
【Bro, Thunder Herrscher has energy-saver mode—of course Flamescion has a fire-saver mode.】
【I say it should be called “Fuel Saver Mode.”】
【Fuel Saver Mode? Too accurate. (laugh) Netizens and their meme power are undefeated.】
Thus, a new meme—Fuel Saver Mode—was born.
Elysia smiled at the comments but continued the story.
As expected, this part was a slice-of-life segment.
They talked about Kiana’s recent situation—
She’d been undergoing brutal training under Durandal.
But since Kiana still didn’t know Durandal’s true identity...
She looked flustered when mentioning it, scratching her head like she didn’t know how to deal with Durandal’s “enthusiasm.”
Her adorable confusion made people smile.
Even reminded them of her time back at St. Freya.
Back then—
Kiana hated going to class...
Always got caught by Himeko, and class rep had to tutor her afterward...
Now though—
She still complained, sure—
But she knew what needed to be done.
They chatted about daily life until the Hestia, a Schicksal craft, landed at Salt Lake Base.
Kiana waved goodbye to everyone and departed.
Watching her go—
Theresa couldn’t help but sigh:
“How wonderful.”
【Yeah... it really is.】
【So far this story feels sweet—is that just me?】
【Feels so light—I really do love the Hyperion.】
【Hmph, be careful. Maybe the writers are just lulling us with sweetness before they stab us.】
【Let us have some candy first, huh?】
【Doesn’t matter. Let’s eat the candy while we have it. Live in the moment.】
Then...
As players chatted, the upbeat tune faded.
Einstein arrived to echo Theresa’s sentiment.
“Indeed. Compared to half a year ago in Nagazora...
She’s like a whole new person.”
“That’s just how fast young people grow,” Theresa replied wisely.
“In the blink of an eye, they’ve matured so much even their parents can’t keep up.”
Only then did players remember—
Theresa was Kiana’s elder.
Fifty years old, knowing her fate—our Auntie Overseer.
Then—
Theresa ended the small talk and discussed business with Einstein:
Why the Hyperion was in space.
Simply put, the Hyperion had gained space combat capabilities.
To test its new systems, Schicksal and Anti-Entropy devised a joint exercise.
Today’s scheduled drills included:
• Deep-space bombardment
• Extra-vehicular combat
• Electromagnetic silent cruising
“I’ll just start with the extra-vehicular combat segment.”
“Looks like Miss Theresa is very motivated.”
“When I see the juniors improving so much,
As their senior... I can’t just sit back and let them surpass me, right?”
That part made players realize—
Wait...
How strong was Theresa in the current canon?
Everyone’s a Herrscher now—
But Theresa’s potential to become one was cut off by her grandfather.
Along with... her animated short...
Theresa: Can we not bring up that short every single time?!
As players pondered...
Einstein suddenly dropped a classic line:
“Indeed—just as the saying goes: ‘Old as I am, I still dream with youthful passion.’
Who among us isn’t a youth at heart?”
That hit players like a truck.
If memory served—
Theresa had admitted she was over fifty.
And Einstein was older than her—at least seventy or eighty, right?
Together, their age was enough to die twice.
And yet—
“Who isn’t a youth?”
【Hearing Einstein call herself young is just... weird.】
【These two look young—but definitely aren’t.】
【A seventy-something saying things no seventy-something should say ( )】
Elysia didn’t comment this time—
For two reasons:
One—
The game had entered combat (exercise) mode.
She needed to focus on piloting Twilight Paladin: Excelsis, a.k.a. Rolling Knight: Save Me.
No way she was letting Theresa get pancaked in combat.
Two—
Cute girls are always 18 forever~♪
It’s perfectly reasonable.
On screen—
Theresa stepped onto the Hyperion’s deck.
Einstein joined via voice channel.
“Standard space suits are too bulky for normal people.
Only Herrschers, MANTIS, and awakened Stigmata bearers can move freely in space combat.”
Players instinctively tried to recall—
Who on the Hyperion couldn’t fight in space?
They thought...
And thought...
And couldn’t come up with a single name.
“......”
Everyone met the qualifications?
The Hyperion was stacked.
“We can all fight!”
Confidence: Restored.
——
As players pondered, Elysia engaged in battle.
Even though she’d joked about the “Rolling Knight” nickname—
The drills weren’t hard.
Only rolled Theresa a few times. Overall, very smooth.
After the drill—
Theresa returned to the cabin and ordered her favorite—
Bitter melon juice.
Even in space—
Bitter melon juice.
She really, really liked it.
But before she could enjoy it...
The Hyperion encountered issues.
“The ship’s actual trajectory has been deviating from the theoretical path since early this morning.”
“We can still correct it manually, but if it continues... it will become a serious risk.”
“In the worst case... Hyperion could face extreme danger.”
Players: Extreme danger?
Veterans locked onto that phrase instantly.
MiHoYo—
You’re not... planning to do something to Theresa... right?
