“Ah? So that’s what you meant?”
Elysia raised her hand and covered her mouth in slight surprise, then—
“Aiyaa~~”
She quickly revealed a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“‘Mr. Otto,’ that line felt pretty direct, such a heartfelt blessing. As expected, ‘Mr. Otto’ is a very gentle person.”
“Elysia... I was just feeling a little sentimental, seeing how everyone always manages to spend each day so joyfully.”
Speaking of which, Hokuto had known Kiana and the others—Elysia and company—for quite a while now.
He was very familiar with their lifestyles, or rather, his own life had long been deeply influenced by theirs.
Hm? Deeply influenced—how so?
Well...
It was probably that kind of state where something “happy” happened every day.
For example, when Kiana had a sudden burst of inspiration and wrote the nth version of Kiana’s Unilateral Honkai Plot.
Or when Theresa had... “matters” to discuss with Judah regarding animated shorts. Cough cough.
......
Not to mention Elysia, who always somehow came up with things that were utterly outrageous.
But it was exactly because of all this that Hokuto felt so sentimental.
Not because he was amazed that they had something cheerful happening every single day—
But rather...
If you thought about it seriously,
Living together with thirteen “walking sitcoms” (even more if you counted Kiana and the rest),
Shouldn’t that be kind of overwhelming?
Sure, on the surface, “laughter and cheer every day” sounded fun—perfect, even.
But once you actually lived it out, having such noisy, chaotic days over and over...
People only had so much energy.
It should feel exhausting, right?
And yet... that was what amazed Hokuto the most.
Even after all this time with everyone’s constant joy and laughter,
He had never once felt tired.
Honestly—
It was truly a kind of magic.
While Hokuto was quietly caught in his emotions,
Elysia was also mulling over what he’d said earlier about “feeling sentimental.”
“Actually, I think about that too sometimes.”
“What would our lives have been like... if we’d never met each other?”
“Then...” Hokuto tilted his head with curiosity, “Elysia, did you ever reach a conclusion?”
Elysia blinked and gave a gentle smile.
“Rather than being alone, I think... fireworks are more beautiful when watched with friends.”
It might’ve seemed like a non-answer—
But the more you thought about it, the more fitting it became.
Boom.
Right on cue, the final firework bloomed.
And the livestream ended at that perfect, memorable moment.
Another Honkai Impact 3rd official stream concluded smoothly once again~!
“Aah~~”
Elysia gave a big stretch.
Beside her, Hokuto removed his mask.
Having worn it all day, it was getting a bit stuffy.
He turned to Elysia.
“Elysia, thank you for today.”
“Mmm~ Mmm~ Hokuto, you worked hard too.”
Elysia nodded while still mid-stretch.
But just as her arms reached above her head, she suddenly paused—
As if a thought had struck her.
“That whole thing earlier was actually super fun and romantic...
I feel like it could totally go into a script!”
She turned toward Hokuto.
“What do you think?”
“Well...”
Hokuto thought seriously before replying:
“It’d work great in a script—though you’d have to change it a little.”
“After all, a lot of players watched today’s stream.
If you wrote a scene about everyone watching fireworks together,
They’d probably experience a strong sense of déjà vu.”
“So better to change it to something else—
Like, instead of watching fireworks, maybe they’re watching snowfall?”
He even offered a solid suggestion.
Elysia, thoughtful, lowered her hands.
After a moment, she nodded lightly.
“As expected of our 【scriptwriter-sensei】~~ always thinking things through.”
She paused, then bounced up from her seat.
“Alright, it’s decided!
I’m going to write a new story that ends with everyone watching snow together—
A romantic and joyful tale!”
With a sudden clench of her tiny fists, Elysia brimmed with determination.
“......”
Seeing her like that, Hokuto couldn’t help but want to make a joke...
Wasn’t this like wanting to taste vinegar and going out of your way to make dumplings?
But before he could say anything—
Elysia had already moved on.
She clasped her hands behind her back, leaned sideways toward Hokuto, and gave a sweet smile under the soft, white light:
“I’ll be counting on our 【scriptwriter-sensei】 to review it when the time comes~♪”
Hokuto: “......”
“Alright, alright. It’s not like I lose anything—
I even get a free event storyline out of it.”
“Hum hum~♪”
......
Some time passed uneventfully.
That is to say—
Nothing happened that could top Kiana and Bronya teaming up to defeat Theresa and forcing her to quit bitter melon juice for three whole days.
Three. Whole. Days.
Instead—
A new event, Summer Survival Rhapsody: Side 13, quietly went live.
A new interlude chapter, serving as the usual post-plot bridge, was completed.
And within a few days, it was officially added to the game.
As for the final chapter...
Hokuto didn’t rush it.
He planned to take his time—and even ask the players what they thought.
But that’s a story for another time.
Back to the main event—
Of course, what came next was...
Elysia’s signature segment~♪
The day the new interlude went live, Elysia’s livestream room—
As usual, was already packed with viewers waiting for her to start.
They didn’t have to wait long.
The pitch-black screen lit up.
But—
It wasn’t Elysia who appeared.
It was... Fairy Elysia!?
She wobbled into frame, hugging a typewriter nearly as big as she was.
Thud~~
She plopped it down—
Clearly unafraid of breaking the poor thing.
“As your Fairy Administrator,”
Said Fairy Elysia,
“Today I’m here to introduce a trustworthy companion to all you lovely humans.”
“I’m sure you’ve all seen this machine before...”
【The one you broke with a magic wand (physically)?】
【What year is it again?】
【RIP notice machine (instant answer)】
【It printed hundreds of alxysl scripts—I’d recognize it even if it turned to ash.】
Before Fairy Elysia could finish,
Chat had already exploded.
But she seemed to somehow sense the barrage reactions.
“Ehh~ Lovely humans, don’t interrupt, okay~”
“Listen closely to your Fairy Elysia from the land of symphonies introduce this...”
“The ‘Elysian Realm Data Library Interactive Output Console...’”
“Ugh... what was it again?”
By the end, she herself couldn’t say the full name.
It was too long to remember.
At that moment—
“You’re still so stubborn, huh...”
Cartoon Mei walked in from off-screen,
Standing before Fairy Elysia, she sighed—clearly reminded of what happened in the Realm.
Then she offered a suggestion:
“Let’s just call it a typewriter like usual.”
But Fairy Elysia solemnly shook her head.
“Lovely humans!”
“We must be precise!”
“So...?” Mei asked curiously.
Fairy Elysia proudly declared what she thought was a very concise and accurate name:
“This is the 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】!”
Mei: “......”
“Well, I guess it doesn’t really matter what it’s called...”
She gave up on correcting her.
Instead, she asked:
“Can you explain to everyone what this machine is for?”
“Hum hum~♪”
Fairy Elysia hummed twice and spun midair with her wand.
Then declared:
“As everyone knows, it has the traits of 【never lying】 and 【objectively recording】.”
“So it will bring all you lovely humans many behind-the-scenes stories!”
Mei crossed her arms and played along: “Like what?”
“Plenty!”
Fairy Elysia waved her wand and changed the screen—displaying a full map of the Elysian Realm.
“By searching the concept art archives, this typewriter will show lovely humans not just illustrations—
But also the stories and thoughts behind their designs!”
【Sadly, I can no longer enter the Elysian Realm.】
【“The Elysian Realm has ended.”】
【What do you mean? Why are you stabbing me again?】
【Rest in Peace, Realm. Hrrrrrr!】
“The 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】 will faithfully display early drafts from the dev team—
And explain why certain versions were ultimately chosen.”
“That actually sounds nice,” Mei nodded.
“Of course~! It’s the amazing 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】!”
Fairy Elysia got visibly excited.
“Then... is there anything else you can show us right now besides Elysian Realm content?” Mei asked again.
“......”
Fairy Elysia’s expression froze: 0.0
A moment later—
She forced herself to continue:
“Ahem, not at the moment.”
“But we can all look forward to more in the future~~”
“And that’s all for today’s intro, lovely humans.”
“For more updates, you can check our official community platforms!”
By now, many viewers had caught on.
【Why do I get the feeling this Fairy Elysia animation is... kind of official? She’s talking about design documents now?】
【It’s fun, but it really feels like I’m watching an official dev promo.】
And they were right.
This time, Hokuto had specifically asked Elysia to help with it.
As viewers speculated,
The little animation came to a close.
Fairy Elysia yawned:
“Ugh, presenting stuff really isn’t suited for adorable little me~~”
“Aah~ time to sleep~”
She hugged her wand, gently floated onto the typewriter, and curled up—her little wings covering her like a blanket.
The animation ended.
Screen went black—then quickly lit up again.
Now, Elysia in her Miss Fairy outfit had entered the livestream.
She waved to everyone:
“Hi~~ How was that?”
“Really have to thank Fairy Elysia for introducing the 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】!”
【Miss Fairy~♪】
【Just like the first time we met!】×n
【Miss Fairy, Miss Fairy, was that animation just for fun, or is MiHoYo actually launching something new?】
Seeing the chat, Elysia quickly cleared things up:
“Mmm~♪ Just like many of you guessed—”
“The 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】 is a new series MiHoYo is launching, and it’ll bring lots of fun stories.”
“Please look forward to it!”
“I don’t think the 【Elysian Realm Magical Typewriter】 will let anyone down,”
Mei’s voice suddenly echoed in the stream.
“Aah~~ Mei... I haven’t even reached the guest introduction segment yet, and you’ve already shown up?”
Elysia mock-sighed.
“Well, I’ve appeared on your stream several times already. Skipping the intro’s fine, isn’t it?”
Mei replied.
“Besides, after that little animation, I think the audience already knew I’d be here today, right?”
“Aiyaa.”
Elysia smiled fondly.
“Mei’s gotten so proactive lately—
It really makes me nostalgic for the first time you guest-starred on my stream. You were so awkward back then.”
Still that signature “Elysia” charm in her tone.
“Hmm... Should I dig up the archive and make a then-vs-now comparison video?”
“That might be fun too.”
Mei: “......”
Come to think of it—
What happened the first time she appeared on Elysia’s stream again?
As she thought,
The distant memory surfaced...
It didn’t take long to remember—
That time... when she earned the nickname “Rice-Cooking Wife”...
“......”
“......”
At the thought, Mei’s expression stiffened slightly.
And a new idea popped into her mind—
If Mei’s character in-game couldn’t cook at all,
Maybe all those weird memes wouldn’t exist...
