The plan targeting the Uchiha and the Akatsuki continued to move forward.
For Uchiha Kei, it was finally time for a long-awaited lottery draw.
This was because his accumulated Golden Spirit Points had now exceeded ten.
With the production rate of Golden Spirit Points steadily increasing, Uchiha Kei no longer did draws as soon as he got them. Instead, he would accumulate a certain amount before doing multiple ten-pulls all at once, consuming all the Golden Spirit Points in one go.
Well, the main reason was that drawing one by one rarely produced anything good. Spending multiple Golden Spirit Points in quick succession greatly increased the odds—more importantly, drawing this way was cathartic. The thrill was especially maxed out when something good appeared.
This time, Uchiha Kei did exactly that—ten Golden Spirit Points, spent through one hundred consecutive draws, which yielded one gold-tier item and one dark-gold-tier item.
Skipping over the purple-tier items, Uchiha Kei chose to inspect the gold-tier and dark-gold-tier items first.
Starting with the dark-gold-tier item—upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a brand new skill, and it looked rather mysterious: [Descent of Will (Gold, Enhanced)].
Its effect was simple and direct: he could descend his will onto one of his subordinates, synchronizing his vision with theirs as if enacting divine possession, while being able to communicate instantly and even control their body.
No matter how you looked at it, this skill felt fantastical—something you wouldn’t expect from an “urban game system.”
However, the system had its own explanation for it, and it was surprisingly logical and convincing.
[Skill Description: As the host’s game company grows stronger and demonstrates more advanced technology, both the host and loyal subordinates will inevitably attract unwanted attention. The world has no shortage of ambitious or self-important individuals who disregard laws and rules, believing themselves above them, free to set their own. In order to protect your loyal subordinates without compromising your own safety, you must, when necessary, descend your will into them and control their body to help them escape danger.]
After reading the skill description, Uchiha Kei was impressed. This idiotic system still had some substance after all.
Since the system was still able to link externally, could it also take him back to his original world?
The thought made his heart race with anticipation.
After all, for a transmigrator like him, even though he had found belonging in this other world, there was still the saying about “returning home in glory.” His current accomplishments would surpass even the “extraordinary dragon king returns to the city” trope in urban novels.
The idea alone was exciting.
Of course, it was only an idea—whether it was possible was still unknown. The system had given no hints of having such a function.
For now, Uchiha Kei decided to test the effects of this new skill.
After fully integrating the skill and experimenting with it, Uchiha Kei found that although “Divine Descent” was not overly strict, it did have specific requirements.
First, the target’s loyalty or recognition of him needed to be high enough; otherwise, the descent could not be performed—there was no way to force it. In keeping with the system’s usual “law-abiding” style, the target also had to voluntarily accept the mark that allowed Divine Descent.
Beyond that, the conditions were quite flexible, even somewhat magical: when descending, Uchiha Kei could also transfer a portion of his own power to the target. The maximum amount they could receive was 70% of his strength, depending on their physical endurance.
“Strength” here included both physical abilities and supernatural powers—such as chakra and Mangekyo Sharingan abilities.
This skill clearly followed the system’s “rules-based” and “data-driven” foundation—once the numbers and rules were set, the effect was guaranteed.
Currently, when Uchiha Kei checked the number of people eligible for Divine Descent, he was shocked to see over 120,000—though 115,000 of those were White Zetsu under his control.
Almost all members of the Uchiha clan could accept the descent, as well as many Hidden Leaf ninjas, numerous employees of the Hidden Leaf Game Guild, and many others who recognized his leadership.
Even Orochimaru qualified—though he never called Uchiha Kei “Lord,” he had long since acknowledged Kei’s leadership, believing this “junior” could lead him and like-minded people to greater heights.
All Heroic Spirits could accept the descent as well, automatically qualifying as they were summoned by him.
However, people like Minato Namikaze couldn’t be descended into—they were classified as friends rather than subordinates by the system, and thus lacked the “employee mindset” necessary for qualification.
After figuring out the skill’s requirements, Uchiha Kei decided to start marking people. He quickly found his targets.
But before that, he checked the gold-tier item.
Raising an eyebrow, he tossed it to Orochimaru and the others—it was a production formula for “System Coffee,” similar to the earlier “System Cola” formula, with the key ingredient being special coffee beans that the system’s shop would now sell in limited monthly quantities.
After checking the other items from the hundred draws—mostly useful but situational—he put them away.
Then, he summoned three White Zetsu, marked them with the Divine Descent seal, and explained its function.
The three White Zetsu became uncontrollably ecstatic, trembling as if they had been struck by an overwhelming spiritual impact—though lacking the anatomy to wet themselves. They cried tears of joy:
“Lord Kei’s mark! This is Lord Kei’s mark!”
“Kougua! Lord Kei, we will forever revere you!”
“Shaa—Shaa! It’s from Lord Kei! Only for us! Only we have it!”
Uchiha Kei sweatdropped. It was just a mark—was this necessary?
But White Zetsu were far from normal beings, so he let them be as long as they did their job.
The three left, carrying his mission—immediately announcing their special favor in the White Zetsu internal network, causing mass hysteria and wailing among the rest.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Kei entered the mental network world. Confirming that the cooldown on “Heroic Spirit Summon” was over, he used it without ceremony—just to get the cooldown running again as soon as possible.
In moments, a beautiful, elegant red-haired woman in her early thirties, exuding regal grace, appeared.
Her name was Uzumaki Mito, wife of the First Hokage Hashirama Senju, and princess of the Uzumaki clan and Land of Whirlpools.
Though her clan had fallen and her homeland was gone, as the First Hokage’s wife, her status remained among the most exalted in the ninja world. Unlike Tobirama Senju, she held no prejudice against the Uchiha, and Kei had met her as a child, leaving a good impression.
Thus, Kei skipped the usual post-revival “test” and instead smiled warmly at her surprise:
“It’s been a while, Grandma Mito. Welcome back to the world of the living.”
Mito, staring at her youthful, fair hands in disbelief, raised her gaze to him. He seemed oddly familiar, yet she could not place him.
“I’m sorry, young man… who are you? I can’t recall where we met…”
Kei smiled:
“It seems you do remember me a little, Grandma Mito. I’m Uchiha Kei—six years older than the one you remember.”
At those words, an image of a unique Uchiha boy surfaced in her mind—different from the arrogant, overbearing air of most Uchiha. He had been good friends with a civilian ninja named Minato Namikaze, who in turn was close to her clanswoman Kushina Uzumaki.
Realization dawned in her eyes as she whispered:
“I see… so it’s been six years since then…”
