Facing Elysian Realm...
They offered a heartfelt and sincere farewell.
To outsiders, this might be hard to understand.
But to those who had personally walked this journey, it came as naturally as breathing.
They had arrived at the deepest part of this paradise—not just to listen to old tales.
This final meeting, one that spanned over millennia, was a romantic moment worthy of eternal remembrance.
So this time...
Even though it meant another goodbye.
Even though it meant never meeting again.
They could suppress their sorrow.
Because they understood...
Elysia was a beautiful story—one that would always leave behind something infinite and wonderful.
And now—
Go, Elysia.
In the name of the True Self!
Let them witness a grand and elegant curtain call—undeniably styled in the way only Elysia could deliver...
A perfect ending for a beautiful story.
……
“Mr. Otto, next is the animated short, right?”
Elysia took a deep breath and turned to Hokuto, asking softly.
Though she didn’t cry or show overt sadness, it didn’t mean her emotions ran any less deep than anyone else’s.
“……”
But Hokuto didn’t respond right away.
“Mr. Otto? Mr. Otto...?”
“Ah!”
Only after Elysia called several times did he snap out of it, replying absentmindedly.
“Mr. Otto, what’s going on with you?”
Hokuto’s delayed reaction made Elysia a little curious.
Having known him for so long, she rarely saw him act so strangely.
“Mm...”
Hokuto, as if shifting the subject, said, “Elysia, didn’t you see today’s official stream schedule? The short film isn’t being released alongside the main story this time.”
“I’m premiering it during the official livestream.”
“Once you finish the chapter, I’ll arrange for you to watch it with everyone.”
“Oh, so that’s the plan?” Elysia’s eyes lit up with understanding.
“You forgot the broadcast schedule? That’s not like you.”
“Umm... I’ve been so excited about today’s livestream that I spent most of my energy thinking about what state of mind I should be in when facing everyone… So...”
Elysia gave a passable explanation.
“If you don’t believe me, you can ask Eden—I haven’t been sleeping well these past few days.”
“……”
Ask Eden about Elysia’s sleep quality?
Something felt... off.
Hokuto thought for a moment, but still somewhat dazed, couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
Forget it—for now, he decided not to dwell.
He looked back at Elysia. The emotional ripples in his heart from the earlier farewell had now calmed.
“Elysia, let’s finish the last bit of the story. Everyone’s waiting.”
“Mm.”
Elysia nodded softly.
She moved the cursor to click on the next part of the main story.
Just then, she noticed something different in the Elysian Realm main screen.
Though it still flickered with corrupted code and showed signs of being eroded...
The floating character cards of the Flame-Chasers in the background, which had once shattered into fragments, had now all returned to their intact forms.
“Hmm?”
Elysia let out a soft sound of surprise, then fell into thoughtful silence.
Slowly...
A smile blossomed on her face—one filled with joy.
This was how it should be, wasn’t it?
……
She clicked into the main story.
The story continued.
Tap—tap—
Footsteps echoed.
As Elysia stepped into this space for the first time, a strange sense of familiarity welled up inside her.
This mountain of discarded data came from every corner of Elysian Realm.
Forgotten memories, discarded thoughts, buried fragments—together, they formed towering structures...
A city.
And at the very center of that city, she easily found her.
The Herrscher of Corruption.
As expected, it was to be a final showdown between Elysia and the Herrscher of Corruption.
No surprise there.
But… how would this battle play out?
Players had this fleeting thought, then collectively took a deep breath.
Still—
After all the emotional devastation of the farewell...
The dance, the roller coaster, each Flame-Chaser’s goodbye, and Miss Elysia’s Final Lesson...
Facing the Herrscher of Corruption now, there really wasn’t much left to fear.
“Hi~~ Hello there.”
Elysia took the initiative to greet her.
The Herrscher of Corruption sat on a throne of stacked televisions, looking down on Elysia without a word.
Elysia studied her for a while—
Then said with admiration, “Wow, you really do look exactly like me. As expected, I look good in any color ♪”
Through endless replication and fusion, the Herrscher of Corruption had once again restored her form.
But at this stage, such mimicry held no meaning.
Yet she still chose to do it… why?
Even as the Herrscher stayed silent through several attempts at conversation, Elysia didn’t give up.
“This should be our first meeting, but I think we already know each other quite well.”
“So, why don’t we chat for a bit?”
“…Why?”
The Herrscher of Corruption finally spoke.
But her abrupt question confused Elysia.
“Hmm?”
“You… should already understand, shouldn’t you?”
This time, the Herrscher no longer used the forced imitation of Elysia’s tone.
She now sounded much more natural—more pleasant, even.
“You should have deleted Elysian Realm, and me along with it. Not come here to face me again.”
【If the Herrscher talked like this earlier, everything would’ve been so much smoother.】
【Honestly, if we felt so annoyed before, it means the scriptwriter’s goal was met.】
【…Whoever just said that—you’re right! SCRIPTWRITER! YOU’RE THE REAL HERRSCHER OF CORRUPTION!!!】
【It finally makes sense now! The Herrscher of Corruption must’ve infected MiHoYo’s writers!
She saw their scripts were full of sweetness—Elysia and the Flame-Chasers celebrating Mei’s graduation, throwing a farewell party for her departure.
Too sweet! Can’t let that reach the players!
So, she hijacked the writers and flipped the Elysian Realm arc upside-down! It was the Herrscher all along!!】
【Didn’t expect it... in the end, another one has gone mad (）】
Watching all this unfold, Elysia couldn’t help but chuckle to herself at the livestream chat.
She didn’t think their theory was quite accurate.
If the Herrscher of Corruption really had infected “Mr. Otto” and taken over the script...
Then the story she wrote would definitely be much tamer than his.
There’s no way the Herrscher of Corruption could match “Mr. Otto’s” mastery of traumatic storytelling, right?
