Fusion—summoning Big Elysia.
Truly a stirring scene.
After so much buildup and so many twists and turns, it was only natural for emotions to surge uncontrollably in this moment.
A flood of pink bullet comments blanketed the screen.
So dense they nearly obscured the entire livestream display.
And in the official stream room, viewers began showering the broadcast with gifts.
【‘Just an Ordinary Singer’ has sent 666 Little TVs.】
【‘Calm and Collected’ gave a like to the streamer.】
【‘Artist Who Never Misses Deadlines’ sent 233 Cheers.】
【Not bad. Quite well done.】
【‘Bio Lab’ gifted 6 Little TVs.】
【Not bad, but I’m broke, not sending.】
【‘Don’t Bother Chef Kalpas’ gifted 1 Little TV.】
“Pfft~~”
Elysia, as always, had the uncanny ability to spot “cute” people amidst the bullet storm.
Her face lit up with a soft smile, her gaze gentler than usual.
Looking at the floating profile for [Herrscher of Human] · Elysia in the Flame-Chaser Archives—
“Ah~ I look so pretty in this one! Otto-san, send me the original later, okay? Thanks~”
Elysia was as unreserved as ever.
Then, she moved the mouse over the newly fused character card and gently clicked it.
Clearly, she wanted to view this card’s details.
However...
This time, unlike previous Flame-Chaser cards, no profile window popped up.
“…Huh? Otto-san didn’t write an archive entry?”
Elysia looked slightly surprised, glancing at Hokuto—it didn’t seem like something he’d overlook.
“Now… does Elysia’s True Self still need an explanatory entry from me?”
Hokuto explained to Elysia: “She is who she is. Everyone already knows—she’s a beautiful girl, true to her name.”
“…Otto-san, that’s an awfully blunt answer.”
Elysia shifted her gaze slightly.
And awkwardly changed the subject.
“Well, I still think she should have an introduction.”
“If Otto-san won’t write it, then I’ll just say it myself…”
“The second of the Flame-Chasing Thirteen, the co-leader standing alongside Kevin… the very first Herrscher, both the Herrscher of Origin and the Herrscher of Human…”
She paused for a beat—and then added the most important part.
“…Of course, most importantly, she’s as adorable as a flower~♪”
【Objection! She’s cuter than any flower!】
【Exactly!!】
【+10086】
Seeing those bullet comments, Elysia’s smile naturally grew even brighter.
With that warm feeling in her heart, she clicked into the next chapter of the main story.
It was time for Mei to step proudly into her future.
And Elysia would smile and bless her for it.
…
The game loaded into a breathtaking Herrscher of Human CG.
Petals floated down, and the girl from memory stood quietly beneath them.
“I really am beautiful~~ Screenshot time, screenshot time.”
Even before the scene had started, Elysia blurted out something comically out of place and did something equally funny.
Classic her.
Back on track.
After taking the screenshot, Elysia tapped the screen to continue the scene.
Elysia: “……”
Mei: “……”
In the story, the two reunited.
After Elysia’s cheerful greeting, silence fell between them.
A moment passed.
“Nothing to say? This silence isn’t like you.” Mei asked gently.
“Then… how about ‘I’m back’?” Elysia offered after thinking a bit.
“Mm. Welcome back.”
Mei replied with a smile.
【…Crap, why am I crying again?】
【Ughhh, the joy and emotion of something lost being returned.】
【Help, I’ve used up all my tissues.】
【Hey, you typo’d ‘tissues’ (dog head emoji)】
【The guy who just said he ran out of tissues can still type bullet comments? Strong. Typos are understandable.】
Mei’s response stirred not just the players—it left Elysia a little flustered too.
She rarely got shy, but now she looked a bit bashful.
“Aaah… that’s a total foul play line.”
But though her defense was paper-thin, her offense was overwhelming, so she quickly counterattacked.
The best defense is a good offense.
“You’ve gotten pretty bold while I was gone, Mei.”
“Well, someone did vanish all on her own.”
“Then… am I the same as the ‘me’ in your memory?”
Clearly, Elysia was still a little worried.
【Just like the first time we met!】 n
Another wave of pink comments flooded the screen.
And Mei shared the same sentiment.
She smiled softly. “Exactly the same.”
“That’s a relief.”
Elysia finally let go of her lingering doubt.
She looked at Mei, emotional: “You really did it, Mei.”
“Now, your memories, and everyone’s memories… they’ve all come together here, intertwined and united.”
This beautiful paradise now was formed from the memories of Mei, the Flame-Chasers, and Elysia herself.
In the end, it’s something for all of them to complete—together!
As Mei once thought, if it were Elysia, she would’ve wanted a farewell just like this.
Of course, perhaps this was also a subtle hint—setting up the possibility for the Flame-Chasers to appear again later.
“I saw it all… I told such a huge lie. Even if everyone was mad at me, it would’ve been totally justified.”
“But they still forgave me with a smile… Isn’t that a little too nice to me?”
【If not pamper Elysia, should we pamper Kevin?!】
【??? Which alt account are you?!】
【LOL I’m dying】
【I vote Griseo】
【You there, open the door! Kosma!】
【……】
Leaving aside the sudden chaos in the chat room—
In-game, Mei smiled gently at Elysia’s words.
“Isn’t it a little strange, hearing that from you?”
“You gave your heart to everyone. So they returned it in kind… I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
Elysia brightened immediately. “Waaah, if Mei says so, then it must be true!”
“You totally knew I’d say that, didn’t you.”
“Mmhm~♪”
The familiar expression, the familiar voice, the familiar response.
She had said something similar when they first met—mischievous, but impossible to hate.
She had a certain magic.
The more time you spent with her, the more naturally you let her into your heart.
That must be the resonance of the True Self.
Who could possibly dislike such a sincere, adorable, and passionate girl?
It’s just not possible.
Mei: “……”
Looking at Elysia’s cheerful demeanor, Mei momentarily drifted off.
When she returned to herself, her expression grew serious.
“Elysia.”
“I’ve already finished reading the storybook called Elysia…”
【It’s happening!】
【Let’s go!】
【I’m totally not afraid.】
You sure you’re not? Why the self-pep talk?
Hokuto couldn’t even be bothered to call them out anymore.
“There’s only one page left.”
“The ending of that party…”
As Mei finished, Elysia continued the thought.
“…Is also my ending.”
“And this time,” Mei said firmly, “I don’t want to be just a reader, or an outsider to the story.”
She didn’t want to merely look back on distant memories, never able to touch them… and she didn’t want the ending to come that way.
So this time—
She wanted to step onto the stage of the story, as someone who was there, to witness the conclusion of the human called Elysia…
But it wasn’t just Mei who wanted that.
Didn’t they—?
Didn’t they also want to witness it?
To see the end of Elysia… and the whole of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers?
Of course they did!
Yeah.
And so… the stage appeared.
