And so, as the very first greeter and the final examiner of the Elysian Realm…
“It’s coming~~”
Elysia gave a cheerful reminder.
Then, rising lightly into midair, she had already placed her hand on the bowstring.
Mei immediately focused.
Helix cheered enthusiastically for the two as they began their “dance.”
Though she preferred being the performer and receiving others’ “astonishment,” being a spectator once in a while wasn’t so bad either?
“This is your stage now. Accept Helix’s applause!”
Elysia slowly drew her bow to full.
The pink light gathered into a radiant arrow.
Dazzling—yet not to be underestimated.
A shot like this would have overwhelmed the Mei of the past.
But…
This time was different.
After Helix, Gold, and Discipline arrived in turn.
“With this golden hymn, let us play the melody of fate.”
“Without restraint, together we thirteen Flame-Chasers…”
Seeing this unfold,
Elysia smiled again and said, “Looks like they all really like you, don’t they?”
“Though… isn’t there still one cold but warm-hearted gentleman who hasn’t arrived?”
“In the name of salvation, let our legacy be sung.”
The first of the Flame-Chasers, the savior, appeared just in time.
And dropped the final, decisive words.
The camera pulled back, circling the stage.
The thirteen towers around the stage lit up one after another with each Flame-Chaser’s Signet.
Even Elysia’s True Self Signet was no exception.
【As expected, the Flame-Chasers are appearing in reverse order.】
【Thought the story twist placing Elysia as the “first” Flame-Chaser was just a gimmick, but turns out it was foreshadowing.】
【From Elysia begins, in Elysia ends?】
All thirteen Signets gathered.
Buffs layered on Mei’s body.
If players clicked through each buff icon in sequence, a line of text appeared:
With my will, with unfinished dreams, with a thorny path and the fire we chase, may hope and the future carry on—!
Their Signets, their power, their will…
Would be passed on together!
……
“The Signets… they’re converging…”
When Salvation and True Self entered her body, Mei suddenly felt the energies of all thirteen Signets draw together.
Thirteen Signets. Thirteen distinct powers. But the same belief.
Mei had now reached an unprecedented height.
Elysia’s voice followed:
“They… they’ve always been guiding you, haven’t they?”
She spoke with such joy.
“Look, they’re all here, watching this celebration.”
“Because Mei did it. Because Mei is someone who’s been recognized by the thirteen Flame-Chasers!”
At that moment, Elysia finally released the long-drawn arrow.
As it shot downward, Mei gripped her weapon, her eyes resolute and unwavering.
“This is the final act, the grandest curtain call… so I won’t leave any regrets!”
Scarlet lightning erupted in defiance.
Mei once again took on her complete form as the Herrscher of Thunder.
She drew her blade!
With a single slash, she shattered the falling arrow.
Then, gazing at Elysia, she issued a challenge.
“Show me your everything, Elysia!”
“Yaa~~”
Elysia smiled. “Mei really is perceptive. Then I mustn’t hold back either.”
The bow in her hand vanished. In its place, a staff appeared.
Another layer of foreshadowing revealed.
Why the fairy version of Elysia wielded a magic wand—now explained.
Players took the opportunity during the short cutscene to breathe.
Despite Mei’s buffs from all thirteen Flame-Chasers…
Elysia also had their buffs—so the fight wasn’t easy.
One misstep earlier, and players would’ve wiped.
【For Elysia, I’ll retry on Hard! The Flame-Chasers’ finale must be brilliant and grand!】
【I chickened out. Going Easy this time.】
【Miss Fairy actually cleared it in one go this time.】
Elysia: ……
All her previous wipeouts were from unfamiliar new battlesuits, okay?
She wasn’t bad at the game.
She’d been playing Herrscher of Thunder across multiple patches. This was a breeze.
Still, her mind didn’t drift far—because the short cutscene was ending.
Elysia, Phase Two.
The environment transformed into a galaxy of stars.
She danced and soared like a sprite through the shifting space.
“Finally, the ball reaches its climax!”
“Surprised, Mei?”
“Herrscher of Origin—that’s my other name… How does it feel?”
The Herrscher of Origin.
This was the everything she had kept hidden—until now.
And now, she revealed the Herrscher of Origin’s power before Mei.
A stirring sight?
Mei only smiled: “Herrscher of Origin? Just a normal human girl. Nothing more.”
Her words landed with gentle, perfect impact.
The thunder she wielded clashed with Elysia’s starlight—dancing together under the brilliant sky.
“Do you like these stars?”
“If I had to choose… I’d prefer if you were more passionate.”
“Is that so?”
Elysia summoned a crystal flower, adding a ‘lighting effect’ to this dance.
And… more falling stars—attacks.
“How about this?”
“These steps are hard to match.”
“So, I need Mei to be more proactive, right?”
Perhaps Mei could stay composed.
But the players were already swept up in emotion.
Watching the two fly and clash from sky to earth—
A fight and a dance—Honkai’s most romantic battle ever.
They couldn’t stop smiling.
……
Elysia, however, wasn’t done.
She raised her staff.
The space around her rippled, and a pink, manta-ray-like creature appeared—not targeting Mei, but instead floating behind Elysia.
It amplified her power.
“Take this—your spe-cial gift~!”
Behind Elysia, the space tore open, releasing more starlight than before, covering the battlefield.
This attack…
Made every player feel immense pressure.
“This gift is too much to handle, Elysia!!”
Yet Elysia playfully reminded them:
“When the stars fall, don’t forget to make a wish~~”
Faced with this overwhelming barrage—
Even Mei couldn’t help but marvel at how powerful Elysia was when revealing her everything.
So, she had to bring out her ultimate move!!
“Roar—Kurikara!!”
Kurikara emerged, submitting beneath Mei once again.
“Mei, the ball isn’t over yet, is it?”
Elysia still had that joyful look.
“A waltz beneath the stars… It needs a brilliant finale, doesn’t it?”
That pink manta-ray reappeared too.
The two locked eyes. No words needed.
They knew exactly what the other would do.
“Winds—kneel before me!”
Mei landed on Kurikara’s back, unleashing a thunderous breath.
Elysia, like her, controlled her creature, flying overhead and raining down a beam.
Breath met beam.
The two collided in midair.
A tremendous energy wave rippled across the entire space—
Like the grandest, most brilliant firework.
A finale worthy of this grand dance.
【This boss fight is hype beyond belief!】
【Even though I kept watching Elysia get completely clobbered ()】
【Pink manta-ray vs Red thunder-dragon】
【MiHoYo really loves beam duels, but hey—it works. Keep it up.】
【So satisfying!!】
And just as the players reached peak enjoyment—
In the game.
The rampaging energy gradually settled.
Mei slowly stood.
Elysia was nowhere to be seen…
Until a ribbon of pink light circled around Mei—
That familiar girl reappeared, stepping lightly on rippling starlight behind her.
Back to back, they stood.
Both smiling brightly with genuine joy.
But…
The BGM in the game began to fade—
No longer loud and triumphant.
