Once again, memories surged like waves.
This memory...
Occurred after the meeting in which Mei questioned Elysia’s identity. Afterward, Elysia had invited Eden to take a walk and clear their minds.
The game screen transitioned accordingly.
Elysia and Eden gazed up at a brilliant starlit sky.
This night sky was so radiant, it reminded players of Eden’s final recollection: Beneath the Silver Moon.
That was the scene of Eden’s first collapse...
“So... this is your childhood, Elysia?”
Eden’s gentle voice flowed in.
“Mm.” Elysia nodded. “Even if I forget, you’ll remember for me, won’t you, my dear Eden?”
Eden answered with certainty: “Of course. You know I’d never forget anything about you.”
“But, Elysia, you’re sure you haven’t embellished anything? This feels more like a fairytale than a memoir.”
“Haha.”
Elysia let out a soft laugh.
“Of course Elysia’s story has to be a fairytale.”
As she spoke, her tone suddenly turned sorrowful.
“Ah... I really wish this starry sky could shine forever. But unfortunately, the night is about to end.”
Sadness.
A rare emotion for Elysia.
And as soon as players noticed it, a sense of unease set in.
No way...?
Judging from the plot’s recent direction, it seemed the writers were planning to tie Elysia directly into the theme of “humanity.”
Nothing up to this point suggested more heartbreak was coming.
But now...
Eden: “……”
“Elysia... are you saying goodbye?”
“I think...” Elysia paused. “Yes, I am.”
“Mei wasn’t wrong... at least, not about the most important part.”
“Maybe...”
“I...”
“......”
She took a deep, difficult breath, trying to stabilize her emotions.
The conclusion she was about to voice—the words she had to say—were hard to bear.
After a long moment, Elysia finally mustered the courage.
“Maybe I really am... a Herrscher.”
Even after all the mental preparation, her voice still choked with emotion when she spoke those words.
“I knew this day would come eventually...”
“So it’s okay. I’ve already thought about what I need to do next.”
That voice, that sadness, struck everyone in the heart.
The live chat instantly flooded with messages:
【So what? Does it matter?】
【Even after all the buildup and emotional pacing, the writer just couldn’t resist pulling the knife again.】
【Is this even a “knife”? Maybe it’s something else entirely.】
【Knife or not, it got me.】
Looking at Elysia, trying to smile through her tears—
Eden quietly stared at her for a long time.
Then, softly, she said: “I see.”
She smiled—and said nothing more.
For a while, silence hung between them. Then, Elysia spoke hesitantly.
“Eden... I’m sorry...”
“It’s okay, Elysia.”
Eden told her she didn’t need to apologize.
Because...
“I understand how deeply you love this world—how deeply you love the people in your heart.”
“That’s exactly why I can understand how hard it was for you to make this decision…”
“And in what circumstances you were forced to walk this path.”
“So, I’ll stay by your side until the very end.”
“As for the truth... it doesn’t matter to me. Reveal it when you’re ready.”
In truth, Elysia and Eden were very different in temperament.
For example—
Elysia always held onto optimism. Even to the end, she believed the future could transform the impossible into possible, even if she didn’t know how, even if that possibility was infinitesimal.
Eden, on the other hand—her ending spoke for itself—she never truly believed in the future.
And yet...
These two people, so different in personality, had become the ones who understood each other the most.
How moving.
“Thank you, Eden.”
Hearing Eden’s comforting words, Elysia slowly calmed down.
“It’s just... I’m a little afraid.”
“For me to say I’m afraid... that’s strange, right?”
“But... I really am scared…”
She paused. Her voice grew faint, almost inaudible.
“If the existence of ‘Elysia’ itself is a lie… then all the moments we shared… all those beautiful memories, promises, and dreams…”
“Will they all vanish?”
【How could ‘Elysia’ be a lie? That’s... impossible.】
【Mei: So what if you’re a Herrscher?】
【Now I understand why Elysia recorded Mei’s words with a little loudspeaker—not just because she was being playful. That line genuinely touched her. That’s why she wanted to keep it forever.】
【I’m touched too. (crying emoji)】
Eden wasn’t as shaken as the players.
She simply took Elysia’s hand—gentle, and firm.
“They won’t vanish, Elysia.”
“This uniqueness of yours never tarnished your brilliance. It only made your radiance more beautiful.”
“No matter what you’ve hidden, I believe... you’re still my dearest friend, Elysia—the one who cherishes and protects the beauty of the world.”
“And that’s enough, isn’t it?”
“......”
Well said, Eden!
Everyone mentally applauded her.
And Elysia truly smiled again.
“Thank you, Eden.”
“And...”
She smiled even brighter than the dazzling stars above them.
And then, softly—so softly—she spoke:
“Meeting you has made me truly happy.”
“......”
The night deepened.
Under the radiant night sky, a massive aquatic creature appeared.
With a shimmer of pale pink, it soared.
The heavens were its sea, its tail fin swaying gently—
And it disappeared beyond the distant stars.
Leaving players with a stunning, ever-receding view.
But no one complained.
Instead, they were filled with emotion.
【The direction here is so good!!!】
【Incredible. Instant full score.】
【Come on everyone, smile, okay?】
【Here, let me lighten the mood—Eden’s so good to Elysia, she even let her ride her. (troll emoji)】
【...That was cold.】
……
The memory gradually faded. When players returned to the present, the flower before them had transformed—
Into an invitation.
And it floated gently into Mei’s hands.
