And then—
Elysia turned to look at Eden.
“Eden… this time, we really are saying goodbye.”
Eden gently shook her head. “There’s no need for farewells. You’re still here, aren’t you? You will exist forever, along with heaven and earth…”
“No matter where I go, no matter what form you take… I’ll sing for you.”
“Until the very last moment.”
“Okay.” Elysia finally smiled in reply.
Their words weren’t explicitly sorrowful, but a faint sadness lingered between every line.
At last, Elysia looked toward Kevin.
“As for Kevin… honestly, I don’t have anything to tell you.”
“You are a true hero, the undisputed leader of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers.”
“If there’s anyone who can support humanity on the road to a future without the Honkai… then that person must be you.”
“But, I do have one last request. It’s about that one question… the one you’ve always refused to answer.”
In the very end, what she truly wanted to know—
“I really want to know—Kevin, if you were to shed tears… would they freeze?”
Kevin: “……”
Faced with her question, Kevin didn’t answer right away.
【Ancestor Kevin, say something—it’s the final moment already!】
【Come on, speak! This is your chance!】
【Even if you can’t answer, at least say a few words.】
After a long while…
Even the bullet screen had gone through several waves.
Then Kevin finally gave a response, in a very direct way.
He didn’t say anything.
He simply… reacted.
“Ah—”
Elysia’s slightly panicked voice rang out.
“I was just asking! You didn’t have to actually cry… Can’t you act a little more like a guy?”
【Even Kevin cried…】
【Then it’s totally okay that I’m breaking down right now too! Waaaah (sobbing)】
【This is Kevin’s second time… or by timeline, the first time he cried? The second is when Mei dies.】
“But thank you. Now… I know the answer.”
Elysia’s voice softened: “See? They do freeze…”
She couldn’t fully contain her emotions either.
“But… they’re so warm.”
Saying that, she looked off into the distant stars.
“Ah… I really wish this moment could last forever.”
【♪ Oh~ my beloved, may we never part
♪ Oh~ my beloved, may time stand still in this moment... ♪】
At that instant—
It was as if Eden’s song from earlier echoed in their ears once more.
Its emotional weight now felt even deeper.
Because…
They too, now, so deeply wished this moment would never end.
“But no performance lasts forever, does it? So let’s give it a perfect ending.”
Players: ……
Scriptwriter, how cruel can you be?
“If, in the distant future, you ever meet a Herrscher like me… please, do your best to tell me, okay? That would make me really happy!”
So—
From inviting Welt to Mei, Kevin’s purpose all along… was just so Elysia could meet others like her?
To make her happy?
And because of a single sentence from Elysia, Kevin remembered it for 50,000 years?
That’s… truly…
Everyone felt like they’d just taken a direct hit to the heart.
But it wasn’t just Kevin who remembered that line.
Vill-V too…
Because Elysia had spoken it to all of them.
Once again confirming that fact—
In Elysian Realm, there are only Elysia fans… and twisted Elysia fans.
…
The story continued.
Elysia said with hope in her voice: “Because I know that in the future, people won’t have to face the same painful choices we did.”
“Because I know the footprints we leave in this world will one day become the light for someone else’s journey.”
“Tragedy is not the end, but the beginning of hope.”
“Only humans believe that. And only humans can turn that belief into reality.”
“So… tell me. At the end of this story…”
She paused, filled with both hope and anxiety.
Yes, even she could be afraid.
“Did I… become human?”
【Of course!】
【Of course!】 *n
The chat was instantly filled with the same response.
Unquestionably, that was the heartfelt sentiment of countless people in that moment.
Lying here, remembered by generations to come, is the noble and proud warrior of the MOTHs, the founder of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers…
The Immaculate One—Elysia.
【The Immaculate One!】
【Elysia, the Immaculate One!】
【The Immaculate One! sob】
【Let me see who mistyped “Immaculate” here—it’s not “flawless,” it’s “immaculate”!】
One blessing after another crossed time itself.
And so—
Beneath that dreamy starlit sky—
Elysia bid farewell to the four dear friends who had come to her celebration, and looked to the future with hope.
Because she knew, tragedy was not an end, but the beginning of hope—
Because they had lived.
Facing the audience, Elysia, on stage, embraced the world and declared word by word:
“Because I’m a Herrscher, perhaps I can do it.”
“But because I’m human, I will do it.”
Then the stars began to move.
Once, they had been tangled by countless glowing threads.
Those were the threads of fate—visible only to Aponia.
Now, those threads were slowly fading into nothingness.
As if a pair of hands arranging the stars was erasing the future that had once been predetermined.
【This is a story from a long, long time ago…】
【One day, It fell from the sky, and as people looked up—they saw the stars.】
(Recited in full)
Eden, with her especially gentle voice, recited this hymn of praise.
Praising, praising…
That one…
The very first Herrscher—the Herrscher of Human: Ego.
The game camera slowly zoomed in.
What was once dim grew ever clearer.
On a desolate land, flowers bloomed—woven into a hymn of love.
Accompanied by the sound of a graceful violin—
A silhouette appeared before everyone’s eyes.
She wore an elegant white-and-pink dress, radiant and immaculate.
That girl, as brilliant as falling blossoms♪
That girl, as romantic as a fairytale♪
As the stars and moon sparkled, as humanity’s stars lit up—
Alongside love and kindness—
The eternal and immaculate bloom of humanity—
Danced into everyone’s hearts.
“Welcome, noble and pure soul.”
She was as beautiful as when they first met.
“You’ve finally made it here.”
“Self-introductions… probably aren’t needed anymore, right?”
In her formal gown, she shimmered like a dazzling crystal blossom.
With her back turned to the audience, she gently turned around, following the softness in her voice—
And smiled with the brightest, most beautiful smile.
“Well, this will be the last time…”
“So—how do you feel?”
The screen froze on that moment.
Everyone stared at that image of Elysia—so radiant, as if she embodied everything beautiful in this world.
Their breaths stopped in unison.
That impact… that sense of release after long suffering…
That beauty… that pure beauty…
It was like…
This time, really, truly—there were no words to describe what they were feeling.
Even Elysia, “Master of Metaphor,” might not be able to find the right words for this one.
Of course, once that moment passed—
The emotions they could no longer suppress burst forth.
【So beautiful! Absolutely stunning!】
【Aaaaaaah! Just like when we first met!!】
【I don’t want this to be the last time!】
And beyond the players—
In that moment, others also offered their blessings:
【Elysia, you look so beautiful.】
【Elysia-onee-san looks amazing (thumbs up).】
【Elysia’s always been beautiful, but here she’s even more beautiful—Herrscher of Human: Ego!】
【…Beautiful.】
【Hmph, not bad. Just like the first time.】
【Even Kevin is stunned.】
【???】
Regardless of what each person thought—
There was one thing they could all agree on:
This was… truly romantic.
Romantic enough to move them all to tears.
【Honestly, at the start of Elysian Realm, I didn’t have that much expectation or emotional attachment to Elysia.】
【Yeah, same. When her “True Self” was revealed, I just felt sorry. But now, I cry every time I see her. I think I have a condition—“crying whenever I see Elysia.” (sobbing)】
【I can’t watch Fairy Lady’s streams anymore. As a ten-year fan, I’m unsubbing now (sunglasses x3)】
Elysia: ……
【Even though we’ve cursed the scriptwriters all the way here, and used up who-knows-how-many tissues… this time, I’ll lavishly praise them—just as hard as I used to curse them.】
In this moment, it felt as if the players, too, were touched by Elysia’s deep love.
They started showing a kind of enlightened calm.
This story had its share of sorrow and farewells—
But what it expressed, and the humanity that bloomed within—
Truly moved them.
So now, at this instant, as they looked back—
A kind of peace filled their hearts.
They even felt… reconciled with the scriptwriters.
【Scriptwriter, this time… you really wrote something good. Well done, sir.】
Let’s hope they still feel that way later.
