MGSFV?! Chapter 343. Is Elysian Realm Meant to Leave No One Behind?
🕑 Added 2025-09-29 23:01:01 +0000 UTCAs the players grumbled inwardly about MiHoYo, they didn’t forget to keep their eyes on the story.
Su, unable to withstand Kevin’s persistent persuasion, finally relented.
“I just feel that… the doctor I want to become isn’t just someone who treats patients, but someone who tries to heal some of the world’s chronic illnesses.”
???
What kind of idealistic Su dialogue is this?
Treating humanity’s collapse with a scalpel? Really?
This was seriously off the rails.
Or should we say—not surprising for a Seeker?
To have such a noble mindset even before becoming a MANTIS?
“Ah… huh?”
Kevin let out a confused noise.
At this moment, he really didn’t understand what Su was saying.

As Kevin’s best friend, Su quickly saw through his confusion.
Yet there were things he himself couldn’t quite explain.
“I don’t really know how to explain it either—I don’t even know how to start. Let’s talk about you.”
Changing the subject, Su asked, “Didn’t you once say you didn’t have any ambitions?”
“Ah, well, times change.”
Kevin replied with unusual excitement. “Su, you’re gonna be shocked when you hear this.”
“I’ve decided—I’m going to become a hero.”
Su: “……”
Players: “……”
Elysia: “……”
Su’s silence might’ve come from genuine surprise.
But the players and Elysia—
Well… the word hero felt far too heavy in hindsight.
Even though watching Kevin say it with that wide smile, they knew they should just type a cheeky "cool" in chat to match the mood…
They still felt a bit stiff.
Fortunately, their emotions wouldn’t influence the characters on screen. Otherwise, this scene wouldn’t work.
“What’s wrong?” Kevin blinked and asked.
“Uh…”
Su thought for a moment.
Though Kevin often came up with seemingly random ideas, Su always took him seriously, thinking through every word.
Not just dismissing them as jokes.
That’s probably what real friends are.
“Let’s set aside why you’d suddenly think that. Do you… truly understand what it means to be a hero?”
“Of course I do.” Kevin answered instantly. “A hero is someone who resolves hardship when it arises, bears pain when it descends. There is no other way.”
“Every hero is born from circumstance, never from intent.”
Wait—Kevin actually understood that deeply?
Becoming a hero has a price…
One must carry burdens, give up things, remember everything…
And young Kevin already understood all this?
“…Hmm?”
Elysia suddenly let out a faint hum. She’d sensed something off.
Kevin saying he wanted to be a hero—it was something he’d say.
But…
For him to say it so eloquently, with such clarity…
That wasn’t quite right.
The more you knew Kevin, the more you could sense something was fishy.
As expected—
Su caught on.
He nodded. “Yes… a hero can’t be a goal. It’s an action, a result.”
Then he suddenly asked, “What else did Mei say to you?”
“Oh, she also said… um… you…”
Kevin, caught off guard, instinctively began to answer.
【So it was Mei who told him! I was wondering how Kevin suddenly became so insightful.】
【Su: I see through you.jpg】
【I really thought Kevin had an epiphany.】
“Sigh~~”
Su sighed.
“That doesn’t sound like your own thoughts, Kevin.”
Realizing he’d been caught, Kevin didn’t bother hiding it anymore. He scratched his head and laughed awkwardly.
“Ahaha… Can’t I, you know… suddenly have a breakthrough or something?”
“Sigh, Su… what’s wrong? You never used to react like this when I talked about her.”
Su answered frankly, “Because back then, you hadn’t started becoming Mei’s shadow. Haven’t you noticed?”
Kevin didn’t quite get it.
Mei was a genius—wasn’t it right for him to learn from her?
Wasn’t that better than stumbling around on his own?
So the signs of Kevin becoming Mei’s follower were already there even back then?
Kevin explained his thoughts to Su.
Su looked at him, a trace of worry on his face.
He thought silently:
But once you choose to follow, you can never truly walk beside her…
When that day comes, how much pain will you feel?
But… these words, Su couldn’t bring himself to say aloud.
【Otto was like that too. He followed Kallen from youth, only to find he could never walk beside her.】
【Every Kaslana meets their destined external brain.】
【All Kaslanas start off as passionate idiots… only for the one who once followed Mei to become someone for whom rationality is second nature.】
【Probably because once the external brain is gone, he had to start thinking for himself…】
As the barrage of comments rolled in, the mood began to shift.
Some thoughts… were just too painful to dwell on.
Because once you dug deeper, you’d find—
It was all just one big knife to the heart.
Players: ……
They felt numb.
With blades hidden all throughout the plot, they couldn’t stay emotionally grounded for long.
Their feelings were so intense, so heavy—they could barely breathe.
But just as the mood dropped—
The story, cunning as ever, flipped it all with a sweet twist.
“So, what did you say to her?” Su asked Kevin.
Kevin scratched his head, a little sheepish.
“Well… at the time, I told her…”
“I want to be someone’s hero.”
!!!
Even if they were just drowning in emotional despair moments ago, they had to slam their keyboards now and type—
SWEET SWEET SWEET!!
Young Kevin was so good at flirting!!
Yes, the pain was real, but the sugar was equally sweet.
This story—such an addictive love-hate experience.
…
“But her reply was a bit strange… She said…”
“If you can be someone’s hero, then you can be everyone’s hero.”
“Su, what do you think that means?”
At the same time—
The timeline returned to the present.
Su, reminiscing, was filled with emotions.
“Yes, a person’s fate… is their character. So in the end, perhaps a person only has one kind of fate.”
Perhaps, even without the Honkai, something else would have brought them to this point.
It wasn’t that they had no choice—it was that in the face of certain things, they always chose the same way.
Even if… it caused unbearable pain.
Su looked at Kevin and understood.
Everyone thought Kevin was a man bound by the past, trapped in it.
But he wasn’t.
This man never needed to return to the past—because from the beginning, he had never changed.
To this day, he still poured everything into that one-time joke of a promise.
“If I turn away now, it’s the same as denying Mei. Denying you. Denying…”
“…her. Everything she brought us—and this world.”
Her? Who?
“Elysia…” Su murmured, revealing the answer.
【Elysia? Then what is her Herrscher authority? Or rather… what kind of Herrscher is she?】
【What exactly did Elysia bring to this world? So mysterious.】
【Am I the only one thinking… maybe this is why the Kevin outside looks so broken?】
【You’re not alone. Before entering Elysian Realm: “Why is Kevin so broken?” After entering Elysian Realm: “Why wasn’t Kevin more broken?”】
As players speculated—
Su suddenly said: “Indeed, that’s why we’re here.”
Kevin picked it up: “Mei was right. Compared to becoming a hero for all, saving one person is often harder—and more precious.”
“But at least… we’ve been given that chance again.”
To save one person?
To have that chance again?
Did that mean…
Elysia was about to return?
That’s what it meant, right?! It had to be!
They’d finally waited long enough!
Yes, they’d finally reached this moment. But before welcoming her back—
As the saying goes…
“When Heaven is about to place a great responsibility on a person, it must first…” etc., etc.
“Since this is a dance meant for her… then this time, let’s save the guest of honor for last.”
“Agreed.”
Kevin no longer clung to the past and asked, “Alright, has the moment we need arrived yet?”
Su took a moment to feel it out and replied:
“Heh… keep waiting, Kevin.”
“No matter how many times it’s repeated, a person’s choice never changes—we’ve already proven that.”
“Then the final piece… will begin turning now.”
What did that mean?
So close to the climax—and they were still speaking in riddles?
Players brimmed with questions and frustration.
Then the game screen suddenly shifted—
And a familiar voice echoed.
“The final piece? Boss, I don’t really get what you mean by that…”
Pardofelis???
The players immediately stiffened.
Never mind the suspicious timing—why was Pardofelis getting more screen time now?
And how did she know about the final piece?
They’d just been saying maybe Pardofelis would survive all this.
But now…
They’d clearly been too optimistic.
Overestimating the writers.
Is Elysian Realm really not going to spare even one??
