There was a brief bit of “commotion” inside the MiHoYo studio, but in the end, no one was seriously hurt.
Hokuto simply treated everyone to a nice lunch.
With full stomachs and a short break to refresh, the team could now face the next part of the story in high spirits.
When the time came, Elysia, Eden, and the others went down early to prepare.
And in the official MiHoYo livestream, the screen once again lit up.
But this time, instead of the gameplay area… it was showing a music video.
【What is this? A music video?】
【MiHoYo’s pulling something again?】
【Curious~~】
After a break, the players were noticeably more relaxed.
As they made their speculations—
“La la la la la~ ♪”
The soft ticking of a music box was heard.
Then came a melodious singing voice, instantly recognizable.
It was the Miss Fairy! It was Elysia!
The players instantly perked up, eyes glued to the livestream.
They couldn’t help but start anticipating what MiHoYo had in store.
“La la~~ ♪...”
Elysia’s gentle humming came to a close.
Then she giggled softly.
“Hi~♪ I’ve been waiting for you.”
Wearing her Flame-Chaser uniform, Elysia appeared at the center of the screen, beaming.
【Just like the first time we met!】 *n
A wave of pink-colored barrage filled the chatroom in unison.
The atmosphere was perfect, and the song resumed.
“When the night breeze outlines the curve of a girl’s hair;
Fireworks burn like starlight in her eyes;
I’m dressed in full bloom like a flower;
As if wearing the smile of the world;
Long time no see—please listen to me with a smile…”
The screen followed Elysia, dressed in her Flame-Chaser uniform, as she walked forward.
She sat before a makeup mirror.
Soon, Eden entered the room. She didn’t speak, only smiled with extraordinary gentleness, and picked up an eyebrow brush.
“When ornaments gently land on the girl’s brow…”
Then Aponia walked in, holding a white veil.
“The pure white veil softens your gaze with tenderness…”
“I’m adorned in full bloom, guarding the world’s smile…”
With Eden and Aponia dressing her up beautifully, the three of them shared a sweet moment in front of the mirror.
The heartwarming scene naturally drew smiles from the viewers.
Elysia then stood and stepped outside.
Kosma and Griseo came bearing flowers, offering their warmest blessings.
Vill-V presented her with cute and beautiful accessories.
Hua and Sakura were dressed like bridesmaids.
And most surprisingly—
Even Dr. Mobius made an appearance, beautifully dressed.
【Kosma and Griseo are so cute~~ I think Kosma's even blushing a little?】
【Illusion.】
【Hua and Sakura look stunning!】
【Even Snake-sis is gorgeous!】
【Elysia looked so happy seeing the accessories Vill-V brought. Vill-V really knows her well. Honestly, I’m more and more convinced Vill-V is secretly Elysia’s biggest fan.】
【Correction—there are no “maybes” in the Elysian Realm. Everyone’s a fan of Elysia.】
At that moment, the song transitioned into the next verse:
“This reunion—please listen to my dream with a smile;
I dreamed of birds at the horizon, kissing the line of earth and sky;
White doves singing out loud to this world;
The air is sweet with flowers, like a child’s smile…”
In the video, Mobius—who had been visibly annoyed—suddenly turned around, and a trace of sadness slid across her face.
Combined with the lyrics and everything the players had just seen in the story…
The smiles that had begun to lift their lips froze.
Because now—everyone understood what this song was about.
“The meteor will remember the moment I made my wish;
As the starlit sky plays a solo just for me;
I give everything I have, writing hope for every future…”
Pardofelis suddenly ran over from afar, eyes filled with tears, and threw herself into Elysia’s arms.
Sob sob sob~~
Our Paramecium started crying...
【Pardofelis! Please don’t cry! If you cry, I’m going to cry too!】
【The hardest thing in the Elysian Realm—Snake-sis’s mouth.】
【Even though it suddenly got sad, I still have to say—well done, MiHoYo!】
“I fly like a flower;
Leave this world with a smile;
At parting, please listen to me with a smile—my dream…”
The song continued.
As the players were fully immersed in this emotional moment—
Clatter—clatter—
The sound of wheels rolling across the floor rang out clearly.
Hmm?
Just as the players were about to break down in tears, confusion flickered in their hearts.
What’s going on?
Amidst their confusion…
The camera panned up and around, revealing a gleaming white pumpkin carriage.
But that wasn’t the most surprising thing.
What really shocked everyone—
Was that Kalpas…
Was sitting at the front, dressed in a white tuxedo—as the coachman.
【Hahahaha I was genuinely emotional, but the moment I saw Kalpas like that, I couldn’t help bursting into laughter.】
【Same! I was this close to crying, then Kalpas showed up... hahahaha thank you, Brother Kalpas】
【Another one with a hard mouth but soft heart.】
【Kalpas! You look amazing!】
The heavy mood lightened.
Elysia lifted her skirt, smiling, and climbed onto the carriage that Kalpas drove.
Clatter—clatter—
The carriage moved forward.
The song continued.
The scene shifted to the destination.
The last two Flame-Chasers—Kevin and Su—also dressed in white suits, opened a grand door for Elysia.
Behind it was a red carpet and a magnificent ceremonial hall.
The background music shifted—
To a variation of the overture from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act V.
【Wait—this is the wedding march, isn’t it?】
【A god gives her daughter away… to the world of humans.】
【No need to say anything else. Don’t play this song. I’m going to cry.】
【Just like the first time we met!】
【Just like the first time we met!】 *n
“I wished you were beside me, holding my longing;
I wanted to sing out loud with you to this world;
The air is sweet with dreams, like your smile;
Will you remember the world I blessed…”
As the final verse played—
Everyone was caught in a wave of emotion that words could not capture.
“The flowers once bloomed, and the birds once soared—this is our final farewell...”
With the final lyric, the image of Elysia on screen suddenly dissolved—
Into glowing white particles.
【???】
【???】
【???】
【MiHoYo, is this what you used your visual effects budget for?】
【That was a fast stab!】
【Are you seriously stabbing us here too?!】
【I should’ve known better. This is another ambush! Knife after knife after knife!】
After hearing the whole song, players felt like they’d been emotionally wrecked all over again.
They realized—yet again—they should never expect mercy from a certain someone at MiHoYo.
And yet, this time, they could look forward to something else.
Because...
After the music video ended...
Hokuto took a seat in the livestream room first.
Then—
Elysia walked in, lifting the hem of her dress.
A girl as dazzling as dancing petals♪
