I mentioned it in the last post, but I hope you all had a good thanksgiving!
Here's an old track from the days after the Black One EP was released, but before Sample Heaven! I had this one lying around for a while as an 80% finished WIP, but I never finished it because the sound didn't quite fit with the projects I had going. At the time I had just finished Black One, which was made during the time when I would jam redux / bitcrusher on everything, and I was trying to clean up my sound for Sample Heaven... However, I hadn't had the aesthetic for Sample Heaven down just yet. So while I was experimenting, I came up with this!
I have to give credit to my friend Happy Cola for giving me the main sample for this track, which seems to be a modern J-Pop song which was a lot of fun to mess around with. On top of that, the strings are sampled from a SebastiAn track! I was really throwing everything in when putting this one together, trying to find a new sound. In the end I went for a poppier sound though, with tracks like Heart Rhythm and Our Melody.
