It reminded me of Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort as a kid - troubled past, yes, but seemingly already sociopathic at a young age with little hope for redemption. I never really know what to think about these kinds of backstory. (Although still enjoyed this chapter!)

Good god, Poda, you look like shit.

"'First, I should destroy my parents,' the boy thought. So he did." Uhhhhhhh, wow. (Translating into more descriptive words, that seems a bit much, a bit soon, even for a kid whose parents are awful, and even for somebody who grows up to be Arthur Chicadino.) In other news, it's surprising that you're switching formats, but I have seen this format work well, and provide a mixture of many benefits, so I'm not too worried.

I believe I will be happy with your illustrated novel.

Chicadino's final expression is genuinely startling. I'm confident images like that will have more of a punch now that text is the focus. Keep up the good work, Morbi.

Nice to get so much lore all in one!

Hm, if the format is going to be so text-heavy, would it be possible to have it as plain ol' HTML with inline images so that people with screen readers and various visual impairments can enjoy the story too?
