I'm still holding onto the possibility that Poppy will play dead. It's the thing opossums are famous for and she ain't even done it yet in this whole dang story. It's been 4 years, Morbi. Will it happen???
What I think will happen: Because of the cruelty of this fight (Petunia isn't holding back), Mr. Quibble intervenes. Petunia is acting as her mother trained her to, which I think is something he didn't agree with. But we'll see what happens in the next few pages.
