Cut files!
🕑 Added 2019-02-13 21:13:38 +0000 UTCHey guys! Alright so, many of you have asked in the past about cut files, so we want to start providing that. We want to make sure you are getting something that's useful for all of you and that it's in a convenient format, so before officially adding it to one of the tier rewards, we thought we'd release a sample test file (.studio3) for one of our latest minis. We'd really appreciate it if those of you who have cutting machines could test it out and give us some feedback regarding how close you'd like the cut to be, whether this format of file is good or would you like us to include the cut files in a different format, what machines do you use and in general any tip or suggestion that you'd like us to take into account for this. The idea is once we have something that you guys are happy with and find useful, we'll start releasing every weekly mini with it's corresponding cut files and we'll start working our way through adding cut files to all our previous releases.
So here's a sample studio3 file for our latest dragonborn paladin, please let us know your thoughts.

Hey! Any progress on this? :) I am thinking about picking up a cutting machine and this would be the decision maker!

Hey, Murder Hobo! (what a great opener, thank you for your name) Thanks for the feedback! You are right about the scale, next iteration will have the minis in the same size they are in their PDF, this was an oversight, our bad!

Just getting around to checking out the cutfiles. First off.. THANKS SO MUCH for making these... wicked good man. I have been a patron of Printable Heroes for a couple years and he has been doing the same thing. Everything looks good, cut distances are decent and the dotted grid line for easy folding would be a bonus. As a long time paper mini guy, grouping and sizing is important I can do that all myself. What i would ask is what scale are you imaging these to be when printed. Currently selecting one shows up at 55.70mm with the bottom circle. Regular minis that other people might use at the game table are 25 or 28mm is a standard. If I didnt know better and just printed these off they would be twice the size of any one elses minis. Just food for thought. (for my paper minis i stick with 6mm = 1 foot tall. This standard across the board makes them appear normal to one another and gives a good print quality) Anyways thanks ... love it they are great!
