Chapter 32?

Melissa Glisan

I'm of the, "innocent until proven guilty," crowd with a generous side of prosecuting those who bring false charge in the way cops can file charges against folks for filing fraudulent police reports.

Shan Sharif

Respect for how this situation was handled! On a slightly more good note fully knowing there’s lots of stress but did post cards go out?

IJ James

A comment about another situation has struck a solid chord with me: “believe all victims” is not helpful. Instead “hear and see all victims” is a bit more realistic. It allows all victims to be heard. And given space while still realizing waiting is the best bet. I hated every moment of this whole situation. I can’t imagine being closer to it!!! I hope YOU are ok!

Baconater

That's fair. Tough situation, but labeled with class.

Bill Hilliard

Bryce, excellent way of presenting this and handling it. This type of situation is always a nightmare to deal with. We are here for you either way and truly hope this all turns out ok for you and the company. Head up, breathe deep, and do whatever you need to do to stay focused on what matters most…your own sanity!! Oh and also, as usual, I truly respect you being so transparent with us all. What you have going on here is something special and it truly shows your outstanding character sir!

Respect for the way you’re handling

At the very least by his own admission he had an affair. He put himself in this position by traveling across the country to bang someone whom was not his girlfriend. So at the very least he did that. So like I said only victim is Kayla

Adam

A big issue with your statement is that it doesn't look like Kayla is the only victim here. Unless he did exactly as accused, then he is also a victim. Even if as you say he is not "completely innocent" and he did some of what he has been accused of, it doesn't matter. The original accusations will always be associated with him, and he will always have to defend himself against it. I agree that accusers should be heard. If what they claimed has happened, then there there should be consequences. The issue I have is that i have seen too many cases where the accusations were proven to be false, but very little to no effort is made to show/publish that the accusation is false. Search their names, and you will easily find the accusations, but you have to do some digging to find out they didn't do what they were accused of.

Hopefully the resolution leaning this direction means Wraithmarked isn’t hurt - though personally not sure if I’d purchase any more books by DG.

Tough situation to be in. I've been in a position of being close to a person accused falsely. I don't know the full details here and wish you luck. My situation was a lot easier as the accuser was and is a serial liar/narcissist and has been told to take it to court if she wants and I had also told people close to me several times beforehand that I didn't want her near me as I saw her potential to do something like that to me if she ever got mad enough since I wouldn't cave to her demands to hand over my stuff. So when a few years later she starts accusing someone that isn't that type of person and wasn't even home during the time of her saying it happened made it easier on us. I do think accusers need heard, but I wish there were more consequences for false accusations. I also understand why there isn't as it will make those with true accusations more nervous to step forward in an already harrowing time. Again, good luck with the situation and all the best.

Mongrel

Thanks for being so willing to be transparent about the situation and your thoughts Bryce, we understand it’s a tough position to find yourself in. I hope that everyone finds the resolution they deserve.

jacob shlagel

There are a lot of false accusations that have been made against men it is rare that the man is completely innocent, but regardless of that society owes it to the accuser to hear them out and there voice deserves to be heard. Ultimately when it’s one persons word against another the truth is often found between them. The only victim in this seems to be Kayla

Kory Leach

From my pedestrian perspective of watching the accuser’s videos I must concur with your assessment of this to date. Her videos show someone who needs help, both mentally and emotionally. That doesn’t imply that she is a lesser person, just that her story seems suspect. That is what investigators and court rooms are for.

Kenneth Bonar

This makes your "shit week" comment ring true. The sad part about any of these situations regardless of how it shakes out is it still dirties the water and sheds doubt on all parties involved. Ive delt with it in my line of work from a managers prospective and can confirm its hard to be impartial and unbiased until a full investigation is done. Then you have to cage the workplace as well so there isnt reprisals from folks on either side. Good luck brotherman, stay the course and let the investigators do thier job.

Jake Creates

This is a tough road to walk, and I personally believe that your and your companies stand that every victim deserves to be heard and taken seriously as well as every accused deserves to be listened to and have a chance to prove their innocence is the right way to handle things like this. You're a good person and you're handling this correctly.

Isabella Paul

I never really comment on anything online but I must say: very professional way of handling this entire situation. Thank you for keeping the real issue clear, and concise: SA is serious, and as such should be taken seriously no matter what parties are involved. 👍

Chioke Nelson

Yeah, this was probably the most admirably handled situation I've ever seen. Good on you for sticking with the evidence, regardless of who it comes from.

Justus Wingert

Thanks for clarifying. I'm always so stressed whenever something like this goes public. I wish we could just have these kinds of accusations be handled by the law and not in the court of public opinion. The MeToo Movement was necessary and right, because there is an inherent bias against survivors of sexual assault. I just wish there was an easier way to handle it all.

Heather Herren

Thank you for being you!! You listened to both sides of an extremely tense situation and went with the facts!!
