For those wondering why I vanished again, an update on the ERAGON project. In short, it's unexpectedly taken over my life for what I hope are obvious reasons 😅

Well, its slightly disappointing in the short term but I'm looking forward to whenever it's here. The story is amazing, and I would rather wait than read a rushed version of what you are envisioning. Hope the other projects are going well, and happy holidays to you and the team!

Precisely. There are multiple authors under the wraithmarked banner that either have their own dedicated patreon or post their work for free elsewhere as they go along or don’t give updates much until their next release. The only “Collection” on this patreon is Stormweaver, none of us signed up for Sapphira statues or other merchandise (which we won’t get any of unless we buy/win them) or even the chapters of that other novel posted on here (forgot the name, as did probably most other patrons). It’s def Bryce’s right to go in another direction for the time being, but splitting the patreons or at least pausing billing is only decent. I’m not sure why he thought doing things this way was okay, maybe he’s being mind controlled using dragon rider techniques.

I signed up for stormweaver and expected atleast a couple of chapters a month but the work rate is severely lacking from yourself. I'm going stop subscribing for a few months and come back when there's more to read. It's cool that you're doing the other projects but maybe the patreons should be split and then people could vote with their wallets because I think 99% of people are here for one thing and that's stormweaver but it seems the money were paying for that is being used for other things and I can see other people are now unsubscribing. Rule number 1 in business and succeeding is to give your customers what they want and you've been doing less and less of that recently, why not pause charging people till you have the other projects and have the family troubles out of the way? As for stormweaver it seems like you're a little lost with it, chapter and after chapter of talking is putting me off, it feels forced and dragged out , it needs to move quicker and we need less of the love story/talking and more of the progression and tournaments. Ive convinced a five friends to get into this series and they loved book 1, 2 of them tapped out after book 2 saying there was too much talking and not enough fighting/progression and the other 3 have now all left the patreon due to the lack of stormweaver updates. Half of this book so far could be cut with no detriment to the story. I hope you get back into the groove of writing but for now I'm leaving till you start giving putting out what I pay for on a more regular basis.

Some of us are stuck on an annual subscription and the value has not been there for several months. Had I known he would have started off on these side projects instead of writing, I would have unsubscribed months ago.

1) this is a Wraithmarked Creative Patreon, not a Stormweaver Patreon. (Though I do understand that’s why the majority of people sign up) 2) no one is forcing you to read these chapters or pay for this. It’s a choice. 3) I’m sure Bryce would love to get back to just writing, but he also has many responsibilities and runs a company. I’m sure this isn’t that uncommon but it’s not like tons of other authors do this you just wait until the book releases and have no idea what they do inbetween. 4) see number 2. If you don’t wanna pay for it then don’t. Bryce has said he understands. Complaining about it will get you nowhere.

STOP CHARGING US FOR NOTHING. If you wanted time to work on your other projects (that have nothing to do with what most subscribers signed up for) you shouldn’t be billing people until you’re actually putting out content we’re paying for. Maybe it’s the idea “$5 isn’t much” but I find your updates and sad excuses for chapters insufficient and it’s kind of messed up you did things this way. You’ve said multiple times that Stormweaver is your “fun little project” but the fact is you’re using the funds from people interested almost primarily in this little side project to support your other endeavors without getting much in return. If the majority of us cared—even a little—about most of the other posts concerning other books, etc. it would be understandable. But you’re well aware most subscribers are here for stormweaver and you’re taking advantage of that to further other goals. And don’t use the excuse that wraithmarked is more than just Stormweaver because, be real, it’s most of the content and what drew the majority of patrons to the profile. You’re also the only one that posts interactively so you’re basically the only available target to vent at. Finding your way to success is great, but you’re pissing off and disappointing a good chunk of the people that helped get you where you are, at least according to the “thanks for the support” posts you’ve made in the past. I’ll probably still read the book if/when it drops, it’s a good story I’m invested in—the most expensive rough draft ever fr—but if supporting your process means 5% to what I’m interested in and 95% to whatever you have going on at the moment, that’s not a fair deal guy. Dangling an anime adaptation like it’s a semi-sure thing is also uncool since we know you know we know it’s not that simple, funds or not. That being said, I hope you’re able to figure this out, learn a lesson from it and come back even better. It would suck for you to drop the ball on everything, being stretched so thin. Better to focus on one. Disappointing fans one big time with good reason is better than the b.s. rollercoaster you’ve had us riding. **I unsubscribed a while ago for reasons stated above, I’m surprised I can see this post

This has become not what I signed up for, which was Stormweaver. Weeks go by and nothing. When a chapter does hit, it’s not a chapter, but 3 pages and 2 sentences on a fourth page. 26 chapters in and no time line development, but character development Which is great and needed in a great book, but this has become bogged down and progression has basically slowed to the point , a hundred chapters will be needed to get to next sectional tournament. I have to leave. Will check in a few months to see if Stormweaver has gotten back on track

Yeah I just cancelled the renewal of my annual subscription. It’s up in February so maybe we will get 3 more chapters by then.

Continuation of above. In short, the story arc has become fragmented. It is easier to write char dev plots rather than story arc. Feels like author lost in amongst trees and cant see forest. I did NOT support this to see a soap opera written. Char dev important to round out and support story plotlines, but is out of balance now. Very disappointed. I am out now and ceasing Patreon support for this endeavour. I may look at book 3 if it ever gets published.

The problem with being pulled in so many directions is that work quality suffers. Look at the trajectory of Stormweaver. F8 to C4 in book 1 over a story elapsed time of 6 months. Book 2..C4-C9, with lots of ancillory char development, with elapsed story timeline of maybe another 2 months for entire book 2. Book 3..already 26 chapters, C9 to B1 only..more char development...but essentially NO MOVEMENT....As was set up in book 1, the whole story arc is supposed to be an outlier wildcard development story to meet huge challenge in 5 years story time. At this rate, there would have to be 20 books to get there!

Thanks for the update, but it appears that Stormweaver is taking a back seat to “whatever else Bryce wants to work on”. It’s totally your right to do this, however I’d bet a good portion of your patreon subscribers are here for Stormweaver and not your side projects. At the end of the day you need to make your decisions and we need to make ours. If you are at 1 chapter a month, then this will be the most expensive book I’ve ever subscribed to from any writer on this platform.

TBH, I am here mostly for stormweaver. I've never had the balls to put any of my ideas down on paper and put them out for others to see, so I can't judge how you wnat to do things. That said, if the focus of the site is going in another direction then I can just say thanks and bow out.

I agree with every one on the anime thing. I am not an anime fan, but if you did one on this series I would 100% be all in. Especially if it is you doing it not some producer destroying the story like so many do. I know if you are behind it, it would be amazing!
