A fun trip through the pages as always! As others have written it’s nice having Lennon learning too. I’m sure a bunch of us were a bit bummed to discover that user uniques aren’t able to be copied so no seeing Rei get a free hit in on Lennon anytime soon.

Such a great ride that keeps going. Poor Rei and Catcher getting Jet Waylayed early. Can't wait to see a V2 of this chappie with some specs and advancement(?). Will they get the Viv is awake call too? Probably too soon for Lennon to hit S if he just hit A9? Also totes waiting to see if Catcher or Aria is the next on the Shido Link Bus. Guessing even once Viv wakes up it's a few weeks of noCombat while she gets physically and mentally back up - also recovery from the verbal scalding from... everyone?

This chapter had some depth in content. Exposing us to the battle strategy and forethought required to be a SCT combatant. All hands to you Bryce... sure it's a thrill to read about the user abilities, upgrades and progression of Rei story. But it's brilliant to see the Lasher, get back to basics, shore up foundations... Just another dimension to explore growth of the other characters.

Interesting to watch the high level fight. But my itch is going it’s been 2 weeks since MIND was sorting an alibi with Viv. But she has surfaced yet? Or the team hasn’t been told about it? Weird.

Very nice! Loved the fighting, and that Firesong are getting there with voiceless commands. Ability triggers will be entertaining once that happens… I’d love to see that session! I LOVE that Lennon is getting some good quality training out of his time filling in for Viv. Lennon’s a good bloke, so he deserves to get something beyond just hitting Pawn class out of working alongside Firesong. And I second the desire to see Lennon interact with Rei/Firesong outside training and it to blow cadets’ minds that The Lasher is as friendly with Firesong as I’ve no doubt he is :o) One thing though… Book 1 Prologue says Dent has Overclock, Repulsion, and Magnetic Hunt and book 2 adds Breakstep to her ability list. Also… holy crap!! Rei’s Cognition has gone up from B2 to B5 in 2 weeks?!? Please say his CAD rank has gone up to B2 as well cos that would be absolutely hilarious!! :oD

It’s fun to see how the higher ranks perform in the eyes of Firesong. I also like that Lennon is getting to grow. I would like to see the members of Firesong talking to Lennon outside of training and watch the reactions of the others around them wondering how they got to be so friendly with someone of Lennon rank. I want to know if the other first year know of Firesongs sponsorship. If not, that would make Lennon and Rei’s relationship even stranger. It could be fun to explore. Aria also needs to tell Rei that he was right to accept the sponsorship even if he went about it the wrong way.

What a chapter. What an absolute rush. I could only read a page at a time before having to stand up and wave my arms around or something to relieve the tension in my body. Absolutely loved it, Mr O'Connor. Looking forward to Chapter 23 2.0!
