The way this is going thats exactly what I thought back to! They obviously all become very close. I love that Ward practically bows to Lennon at the beginning of the books but in the end its funny to hear how much Lennon admires Ward. The character development is SO well done in this series its crazy!

Dice definitely can understand the being left behind feeling that Viv has to deal with. I agree with many of the commenters that she would be an awesome big sis/mentor character for Viv. Not to mention she probably wants in on the extra training for herself.

So my understanding is they do morning hours 3 days a week. Then they have lessons - from 8 to 12 I believe. Lunch 12 to 1, then 1A has combat training 1 to 3. Their evening hours are 8 to 10 I think

These little interactions between firesong and dice/lennon explain why rei is still so close to the pair in the future. After all you don’t show up to the hospital after a birth if you’re just an acquaintance or friend from the past

Cool viewpoint chappie. Poor Viv gonna be two months behind (though maybe she’ll surprise the estimates and recover more quickly). Lennon could always stay on to help train Firesong and make it 4 S(ish) rank instructors for squad practice (plus some followup skirmishes with the other S’es for his own training). Firesong sponsor training the place to be!

Well that’s a punchy chapter despite being so short! Personally, the fact that the evenings with von Bor, Waintwright, and Kalus are so exhausting for an A9 user - even if he’s probably a Duelist baseline so probably only had A2 or A4 Endurance - what’s it doing to Firesong with their C rank Endurance?!? Plus Firesong have morning hours with the sub-instructor trio… the insanity grows… I’d not be shocked if all of them aren’t B rank sooner rather than later, and ahead of schedule for first years! Lovely to see Dice again. I wonder what she’s thinking - work with Viv to help her rehab and get back to full fitness sooner, or let Lennon do that and work with Firesong? Hell, maybe the two of them can alternate. If Lennon is exhausted, Dice will be WRECKED by the Firesong train(ing regime)!! Either way I’m sure it’ll be beneficial, and could well help Dice secure her place in the SCT’s if nothing else.
