Bryce sir I am loving the hell out off every chapter so far honestly I straight up have just loved this series since the first prolouge of the first book I am a truck driver so the easiest way for me to enjoy it is through the audio book and you deff picked a great Narator for it I am excited for when this one comes out I have listened to the first 2 multiple times and more since you started working on 3.

Also cant wait to see Wards mom and dad lose it when they find out they are being cut off for being such losers and lying about Ward to his dad (Well Wards grandfather). This book is bringing SO many unanswered questions to close it is amazing!

I love where this is going with Viv, so curious how much the mind is going to tell her about what is truly going on and if she will be able to talk to the mind from now on like Dent. I also love the training, how much Arias brother is enjoying kicking Wards butt and how fast Von Bor caught on to Ward having to take a serious beating to grow faster. It is funny how they seem to be so shocked and impressed by the beatings he is willing to take to grow (as well as how much Dent is protective yet enjoying Von Bors excellent smartass attitude! This book is so amazing so far!!! Have fun Bryce, its well deserved time to enjoy! Just dont take too long or you are going to make me need anxiety meds waiting for the next chapter damn it! 😂😂

Is it just me or is there a wizard behind the curtain vibe from the MIND. The way it gave permission for Viv but wiped the paper trail. Seems similar to the trail being invisible when Rei was attacked both times. Then again, Rei did agree to be a Guinea pig

Great rewrites, it fleshes everything out much better and the second battle with von Bor as the reason he went to B1 is fantastic and funny that the all got knocked the fuck out. Lmao about Jetway using Catchers hand to do the stop hitting yourself thing is hilarious. Adding Lennon is going to be sooo Awesome! Then we have the Pov of Viv and the MIND that is insane! Lol on the stretching the neck to be intimidating about how they need to get their stories straight so that Dent doesn't get court martialed. Fantabulous all around! Absolutely in love with this series. 💜

Loved this re-write. It addressed all my concerns about Rei jumping to B1 and is much more believable. Improved relationship between Chris and Dice (they aren't keeping secrets from each other) and I loved the chapter between Viv and MIND. Maybe we'll learn more about the shards "soon". Also torn now. I want Viv to wake up and rejoin Firesong but I also want Chris to have a chance to work with them more. Maybe working with them a little will be enough to encourage Kamiya to offer him a sponsorship so he can continue to work with them in the future.

I enjoyed both versions, but I do think this one works a bit better. I like the way that they all passed out badly after a five minute session with the Ivory Shield. However, I think the best chapter is the one involving Viv. The way you described the MIND's first foray into a persons occipital lobe, how her heartbeat pulsed in the ocean around her, and how the MIND is conducting a little subterfuge. For such a short chapter, it is as potent as the ones preceding it. Enjoy WorldCon, Bryce. I'm sure it will be amazing :)

It could do something like move her a second or two quasi backwards in time. So she could be fighting someone, take a hit, pop the ability and continue the fight. She'd change position too. With her duelist style, imagine her trying to get around a phalanxes shield or through a lancers long reach, if she could instantly move backwards along the path she'd taken she could appear behind them or to their side with very little warning.

Well the author hasn’t figured out every detail about your new ability or your new link yet… 🤪 Wonder if Rei gets a Shido ping that his first shard recipient is conscious and they start “brain chatting” or if CADs keep that disabled outside combat situations. My vote is still Endwalker is charged, multi use, Predator style camo until the first strike. Closer to invisible the slower she moves.

Loved it! The revisions are great! They really fill in some nooks and crannies that make it all better - especially the jump to B1 being over two combat sessions I think is a great improvement/idea! As for the new chapter from Vivs pov, love it! And the Mind personality is great too. Great job Mr. Author man! 😎

A freaking amazing endpoint. That's insane how fried Viv's neuroline was and is being regrown. It makes me wonder if the MIND is going to start talking to Rei soon too about Shards. Bryce, another amazing story segment! May the con not hit you too hard! Also, is it just me, or does von Boor remind anyone else of Granny Toph from Avatar: TLoK? Cause that's a vibe I get and I am HERE for it.

When I saw chapter 19 was still missing anything about Shido’s [True] injury notifications from chapter 18’s fight, I got sad. Then chapter 19 blew my mind, and I’m happy again!!! Glad the MIND is able to talk to Viv, and she’ll be out soon. Laying a new neuroline for a mid C-ranker I imagine is a time consuming process, since it’s had months to progress as the device grew. But hopefully she’ll be back just on light duty or something!! I miss Viv. And now I REALLY wanna know what the MIND knows about Gamela’s Shard!!!

I’m betting Endwalker is like the phasing cloak from Star Trek, and it’ll allow Viv to come from literally anywhere and stick two falcions up your backside before you know she’s there :o) I definitely see her evolved blades being a matched pair of falchions, though if they were proper (and therefore 2 handed) longswords it would be cool too - “how the hell did a duelist get swords that big?!”
