No chapter today, sorry, but I do have something cool to show you!
🕑 Added 2024-06-28 11:16:21 +0000 UTCHey guys! Sorry, I wanted to have 18 out today, but scrapping the 2k I wrote in the first half of the week threw me way off schedule, so hopefully that WIP on Tuesday counts for something haha.
In the meantime, here's the final fantasy alt of the Iron Bishop! Again, we are NOT going to be exploring this past these initial concepts, but I wanted them for me, so we're going to wrap the Prologue characters at least like this haha.
Baby Rei and Kast next, then we're starting over with the canon style! Can't wait!
EDIT: PS, yes we are aware these are spiderman's colors. That was done deliberately as a nod to Dent's favorite nerdy hobbies lol

That makes a ton of sense and I'm kind of ashamed I never thought of that before, not that I've spent a ton of time thinking on medieval armors lol. However, I don't think this armor has anything like that? Are you talking about the "hair" coming out the top/back of it? The piece that looks like it's connected to the helm is just one of the externals from her left side.

One piece of design advice (if you want design to be anywhere near practical reality). Helms (Helmets) did NOT have and would not have horns or anything rigid sticking up out of a helm (helmet). This was because a blow that would otherwise just miss the helm could hit the rigid extension (horns whatever) and move the helm (and head inside) possibly knocking person off balance or even dislodging the helm etc etc....NOT GOOD. There might be feathers or fabric tied around the helm. This would be flexible of course. I am a 30 year veteran medieval reenactor, have worn the armor and fought in it, so know a little about which I speak.....hope this helps

I don't see the spiderman connection really. The blue isn't the right color. Plus it's not like other popular characters don't use the same ones (Superman, Optimus Prime, Mario, Wonder Woman, Sailor Moon). I think it looks like a high enchanted fantasy armor. Now I think the real image will be more fitting for the world, however this "what if" is done really well.

In not sure what your criteria is for rudeness, in my opinion is a no I could’ve been way more scathing here and was not, it’s a good drawing but *I* feel it doesn’t fit the source material(from description), the character or the setting and am thus glad he did not choose to use this.

That's actually pretty bad ass. Glad you aren't going with it for the canon look, but still really cool. And produce chapters when you produce chapters. what you wrote and tossed was awesome, and clearly took some time. Thanks for all you do and the goodies you give us.
