Like many others, I think this is a much better chapter. It feels more rounded out to me and it is much more than just the fight scene and surrounding events. It moves the story forward in a more substantial way.

I really liked this version better. It felt like the group was getting back into some normal banter. With lots of big events to come and the first ever first year globals coming there is going to have to be a lot of team building to get them ready. Looking forward to the new nightly training instructors. Now that the contract is signed. Am also super excited to see what happens with the meeting with Rama Guest! He is supposed to be meeting Rie and Aria the next day to be putting a plan together to upping there training!

Yes.. but Bruce left himself multiple options with this cliffhanger. It’s soo awesome. Someone like kalus could intervene as a surprise..or Rei has to spill the beans alone..or they get called away again.. soo many possibilities .. can’t wait go see how he works it

Because he got all of Firesong involved with something they didn't know about? Because he got himself involved with his potentially dangerous family without telling anybody, least of all his girlfriend? Because he took a sponsership for all of Firesong to prevent them splitting apart, which he and Aria didn't tell them about as well? I guess these are his reasons, which are very valid, imo, even if all that stuff with Viv happened

The addition was well worth it. While I can definitely see some additional work being put in this just rounds out the morning so much better for the characters.

Waiting for Viv to pop out of coma, and her cad starts chatting with Shido. Rei pops out to group “Viv is up, come on let’s go see her”. And they are like “how tf do you know that?”

I like the idea of Catcher still having an issue with Logan. It’s fair and I hope he doesn’t start getting flack for it. Rei is Catcher’s closest friend as Viv is for Rei. I wonder if we’re going to get a one on one discussion between the two that may involve fists. (coping) Great rewrite, I usually skip the already written work and jump into what’s new but I can’t help it if it’s a Bryce fight in the chapter. See you next Friday? Maybe?

I liked the first write, but this one was so much better. Made me laugh a few times, especially with the "You're not getting away THAT easy buddy." line. Thank you for that and the laughs.

Alright…this is too good an opportunity to let slip past without a humorous interlude…rewind to just after Sense says “okay dude, let’s hear it.” Rei looks him over, glances at Aria, then conspiriatorily leans in and says “OK, Sense…I’m going to tell you from the beginning, but stay with me, OK?” Sense nodded, face strained, eyes hopeful to hear exactly what happened since they’d last spoken. “As we were getting off the bus at Sectionals, there was this gorgeous older lady waiting just inside the foyer, and as Aria and I walked in, she pulled both of us aside with a sense of urgency neither of us were quite sure how to respond to. “Reidon Ward? Aria Laurent?” she asked us, looking us both over as she stared directly at me. “Yeaaahh….?” I said, wondering what all this could be about. She continued, “you don’t know me, but you go to school with my son Sense. He’s sent me pics and training vids, and I couldn’t let this opportunity pass without telling you, Rei…you’ve got a fantastic ass. How do you feel about older women?” 😂

Think the chapter hit a lot better with the revisions and additions. Guess Firesong will need a talk about both Central’s gauntlet and Rei’s sponsor response.

Catcher was ticked that Grant didn’t trust Firesong enough to talk through and share his pain - Grant also yelled at them to SHUTUP. Reasonable for Catcher to feel a betrayal at their newly formed trust. 🤷

Catcher's lack of maturity is really apparent here, if there were ever a set of circumstances you would give Grant some slack it would be these ones but he's choosing to take it overly personal, kinda drives home that these are basically teenagers with all the pettiness being a teenager can entail
