Great video! Well researched and interestingly told. I particularly like the mix of different animal species and plants. Usually I'm not into snails and plants, but their stories were at least as interesting as the thylacine's one. Thank you very much and keep going!

Terribly depressing but absolutely essential viewing which deserves a far wider audience. I've been moved by the horrible demise of the Great Auk for a long time. It is sobering to note that, while some have sought to downplay the culpability of the people responsible for the extinction of this species by claiming it was a different time with different attitudes, the contemporary accounts you quote clearly demonstrate that people were aware of how immensely cruel the exploitation of the Great Auk was.
