What does this mean for us?
Well, we’ve been invited by GOG, which is a huge honour and an important milestone for us. This invitation highlights the recognition our work is gaining in the industry, and it’s a great opportunity for us to showcase what we’ve been working on.
While at Gamescom, the team will be meeting with representatives from EA and Larian Studios. These meetings are crucial for networking and will help us explore new opportunities to expand and develop our plans for Team FOLON. We’re excited about the potential collaborations and growth that could come from this experience.
What about the mod?
We wanted to give you an update on the upcoming patch. We’ve made significant progress, with over 500 fixes already sorted out! Almost all of the reported floating objects and level design issues have been addressed, which should greatly improve the overall experience.
We’re still working on resolving crashes, and we believe we’ve identified one of the main culprits behind the CTDs during videos. It seems to be related to how the old video system in Bethesda’s engine interacts with AMD graphics cards. While we’re not yet sure of the best solution, please know that we’re actively working on it!
Additionally, we’ve taken on board a huge amount of your feedback and have implemented many improvements based on your suggestions. Your input is invaluable to us, and we’re committed to making the game as polished as possible.
This should be due to come out sometime once we have returned from Gamescom. Once all of the QA and usual red tape has been done. No deadlines on this though.
Will we be posting more on Patreon?
100% We wanted to let you know that we haven’t forgotten about our Patreon community! Lately, we’ve been dedicating our time to working on fixes rather than posting frequent updates like “almost done.” We’re excited to share that we have HUGE plans for our supporter platforms moving forward. To kick things off, we’ll be releasing a series of videos and updates straight from the team at Gamescom.
We’ll also be reopening opportunities for the One-on-One developer calls included in your rewards, and we’re finally getting the early merch up, especially now that we’re transitioning away from the Fallout IP. In addition, we’ll be hosting some behind-the-scenes dev streams during our patching process, where you’ll get to hear the devs discuss various aspects of the project.
Thank you for your ongoing support, it means the world to us. We can’t wait to show you what’s next, and stay tuned for updates from the Gamescom event.
