It looks to me like Shido is not just growing and preparing Rei, but actually prepping/training a full combat team with the effect he is having on the other members of Firesong. Interested in seeing where it goes from here. Shido is clearly having a bigger effect than could previously have been imagined.

I have read this thing 19 times…. And every time I feel like REI is a lynch pin to mor drastic and exotic abilities. In the end he will have them all… and be the NUKE for the ISCM.

I really appreciate how much is coming to a head heremiat especially the major reese bit but that the whole team is aware and officially brought in so those discussions are coming. Viv is still showing shes his second best girl. And cashe from left field with the facts. With everyone read on the the situation i wonder if its about to shake a new dynamic loose where catch and ret yave nerd company. Anyway i like where its going and im atill curious about wards family.

Oh they have to put Rei in the second/third year bracket with this now!! I’m doing a reread of Iron Prince and Reese did say that “barring extenuating circumstances 1st years are bracketed separately” so this might just mean they will throw Rei a bracket up and let Aria continue on in the 1st year bracket!!
