Sooooo what ability is Viv getting? Obviously an evolution that includes improved swords. Something else really rare? Like "Combat trance" which works like a more offensive version of Third Eye?

If they fight a tough enough opponent next i imagine an ability will come. If shido is an hyperactive example of how the cad's normally work, then so far she has not really been challenged. She doesn't need an ability to fall back on/help out. Ultimately it is giving her cad longer to learn how she fights and create/find the ability that fits her and the team best. This is even more the case if shido is somehow affecting other cad's around him since he has been round viv the longest. If Reese is that excited about their next match, then maybe multiple abilities/evolutions will happen.

I've always enjoyed the duels better than team games but man these last few Wargames have been awesome. Hope to see some more Team tactics. Really want to see Grant throw Rei ala Colossus and Wolverine LOL

Right at the beginning, the line about Grant's neutral aptitude made me say "Skidaddle, skidoodle, I control the neutral." ....I'm not sure how I feel about Grant wearing May's outfit from Guilty Gear, but it's an amusing thought for sure.
