the frank answer: marketability we deliberately designed that cover to attract a certain readership. we were aware there were some inconsistencies and exaggerations (like the full-CAD opponents), but we made the choice to keep them in to show off what Stormweaver promises to be

Book 1 cover art is a total mystery to me. Its like they sat down with all their options... and decided to go for the cover that not only spoils the surprise in the climactic final fight, but also doesn't even accurately depict a single moment in the entire book. As far as I can tell they made him shirtless because... umm... I'm drawing a blank

So something I have kinda wondered. If they are always fighting in combat suits, why does the cover /fan art show skin tone? Shouldn’t it show the uncovered portion of the combat suit and only show skin where the combat suit /CAD don’t cover?
