I just realized we have a foreshadowing in this chapter: "While first-year CAD recipients participate in their own bracket at Sectionals and are limited to competing at that level—with some exceedingly rare exceptions—..." Are we going to see Rei competing with 2 and 3 years tier? Or may be the whole group?

Sort of weird that Viv says that they can't jump in on the date, and then next second is planning on doing just that.
