This is the most horrific event I've heard of! Those poor women, that poor man! That bank teller did the right thing, and still horrid things happen. This was so random, shopping for dinner and attracting the attention of horrid inhuman monsters! That got on like white and stink. These two have no redeeming features! It seems to be horrible coincidences allowing all this death and destruction! I remember when this happened, it was horrible!

There is a documentary called The Cheshire Murders if anyone hasn’t seen it yet. It goes into more detail about how poorly the police and s.w.a.t. responded that day. Also, more background on those two criminals and how the “system” failed that family.

Good grief, it was frustrating listening to that idiotic 911 operator- why do they have such utterly incapable people dealing with life & death matters. How long did it take the police to respond for God’s sake? How did they have time to get back, strangle the Mother & set fire to them all before the stupid arse cops got it together? I’d have sued the arse off them if they were my family. Infuriating.

I’ve been watching That Chapter for so long now that I feel comforted when I hear you talking. It’s probably not the best subject matter for my dreams, lol, but I turn on one of your videos to fall asleep to at least a couple nights a week. Was it on the end of the CrimeWatch shows that they used to say these violent crimes didn’t happen very often and to sleep well? They seem to happen often enough to keep true crime channels fully occupied. 😢

Thanks, Mike. I actually had already heard about this case. It's horrendous! But I can't help thinking that, if the police had made a move right away, instead of waiting (FOR WHAT, for Pete's sake?), maybe the girls, the daughters I mean, could be alive (not poor Jennifer, who'd already been strangled when those low-lives set the house on fire). THIS is the reason I have my own handgun in a gun safe in our home. We have two daughters—18 and 10–and I’d shoot anyone that were trying to do this to either of them. If I couldn’t shoot the perpetrator(s) I’d shout out the window of one of our neighbors empty cars. Such an incredibly sad story. I feel horribly for Dr. Pettit.
