Very weird case on all fronts, but she absolutely should not have sat in jail for six years waiting for trial. That’s appalling. How many innocent people does that happen to?

Clowns never scared me, but I can't say I've ever been chased by one, unlike quite a few people when the craze went around. In that event, the anonymity provided by a costume and full face makeup would only, I imagine, intensify the fear. I remember thinking, at the time, "It's amazing nobody has been shot." I'm going to be honest here: I'd shoot, especially if I didn't see an immediate exit from the situation. Yeah, it just isn't smart to chase people, especially nowadays. Great episode, as always, though I think, just this once, that the quality of your performance might be rivaled by that of defense attorney, Greg Rosenfeld. Fair play to you both, my friend!!

Argh! So many questions. Sheila sat in prison for 6 years before the trial without being given bail. If they were so certain of her guilt to do that why did they give her that deal?! And to second degree murder without a firearm? Did I hear that correctly? And how is it that the husband was NEVER implicated? Was the work experience kid in charge of this one?

It's wild that someone can sit in prison for being accused of a crime. It's highly likely she did it, and she got off easy, but sitting for six years in prison before a conviction is pretty f-d up.

I used to have a clown come up for my sons bday parties each year for four years then she was arrested as a main member of dealing meth in our area 🫣 clowns used to be for us fun but turned on a dime with her arrest. Argh! Great research and coverage Mike! What is up with Florida anyway? Across the street from our house is a storm drain. Every Halloween our neighbor ties a red balloon to it. It scares the shit out of me every time it pops up in my review mirror when I’m backing out of my garage. I know it’s there, but I still jump when I see it. Every time I see ,or hear about, a Chrysler LeBaron it makes me think of the song “Short Skirt/Long Jacket” by Cake.

We didn’t have a killer clown in my neighborhood but we did have Bernie’s Clowns. It was a group of clowns that cruised around in a truck converted into a train and they threw gum to kids. Just a train full of clowns. No parade. Just crowns cruising the neighborhood on random days. It was the 1970’s. Stuff was weird.
