The (german) company that produces (still) Aspirin is Bayer. Aspirin is just the name of the pills. But you're right, every headache pill took that name. In my country it was also OMO, wich was a brand of powder soap for laundry (handwash, not machine). No matter what new brand of soap appeared in the market, all people called it was OMO. 😀

But the bright side is.. the Episodes have built up and I've got three new ThatChapter episodes to watch all at once while recovering! I just thought I'd share that to make everyone jealous! Three at the one time! The most I ever done at once before was two and even that was pretty crazy. I hope I don't have a ThatChapter OD! Thanks very much, Mike! Also, I'm glad the usual format of the full episode all about the one case is back! While I do love all Mike's content, the good old, original style covering one case per episode is my own personal favorite! It's like Arthur Guinness' recipe! An unbeatable tried and tested Irish formula!

Well told. On Xerox, tactually Aspirin was once a company name and after ithe name began to be used generically it ultimately went out of business. In The States there is also the case of Kleenex (tissue). The name is used generically to mean tissue and didn't do the company any good. And Coke; at one point folks were using that to mean cola in general and the Coke company put a stop to it. Didn't want to end up like the company called Aspirin. Business school 101 stuff.

Fun fact: I can't help laughing every time you (or anyone else, for that matter) associate burner phones (just the name makes me laugh) with drug dealers or other criminals. Wow. What a sad ending for Mrs. Nadell, of beautiful Valley Cottage in the township of Clarkstpwn NY. You see, I know Valley Cottage well, because that’s my hometown.. and the Nadells, were our next door neighbors. And my late Mom and Mrs. Nadell, were friendly.. in fact, it was my Mom who convinced Mrs, N, to go back to school. Suzanne and Jim and I played together almost every day. But am not surprised that poor gormless Jim, married a bossy nutter. I am sad that Mrs. N met such a sticky end.
