I would gander though that when women ARE murdered, it's usually their partner or ex-partner that does the deed. And men are probably murdered by other men more often than by a woman.

Actually, according to statistics, that isn't the case, men are almost 4x more likely to be murdered in the US. In some countries it's as much as ~80% divide in male to female murders
