She’s 100% guilty and it’s so sad that she got off with a slap on the wrist. There are so many lies and inconsistencies with her story. The jury probably took the underage sex as a huge factor in their deliberation (which is a disgusting crime) but that doesn’t mean she did not know what she was doing and was not also manipulating wtv these predators wanted from her. She knew what they wanted and she also knew how she can use it (their disgusting urges) and use them to do what she fantasized about doing. I’m sure she probably regrets now as an adult to have your mother not be in your life anymore just because of some teenage misperception (like we all had at some point) as an adult now.

Yeah, you may be right. Florida is a calm and wonderful place to be--no one going bats**t crazy there. I work the overnight hotel shift in a small Alaska town. Alaska is much like my shifts; usually nothing happens but when it does, it's monumental. 99.9% of the people here are wonderful and kind but it's the .1% that screw it up and disrupt our peaceful lives. With a population of less than a million that isn't a lot of people.

Exactly Lorna. Look at the words used in the comments to describe her ‘conniving’ etc…I don’t see the words psychopathic, immature, or predator’ used to describe these two guys who were old enough to know to do the right thing. People would rather buy into the narrative that this femme fatale was controlling their behaviour. Not that she was just an unhappy 15 year old girl with issues, (not necessarily caused by abuse)

Completely agree. Teenagers indulge in fantasies like this, every story a teenager tells you will always feature them as either the hero or the victim. Even if she did discuss “saving her from her Mother” with them & went so far as discussing how they could do it, it’s entirely possible that was more fantasy. I remember talking about running away with my school friends when I was 7- I was absolutely shocked when they did it & expected me to go with them (I still didn’t believe they would do it at that stage). I got in serious trouble because they were gone for hours, the whole of Liverpool was looking for them & a massive police operation was launched & I hadn’t said anything. Luckily that worked out fine, they found them around midnight & took them home, but I still shudder at the memory of how much trouble was heaped on my head over that! There’s not enough evidence either way in this case & it feels like the right outcome. Sometimes it’s like the US justice system just wants to punish girls for having sex- like they’re capable of anything if they do that- mad!

It always surprises me when perpetrators go to great lengths to try and cover their tracks (in this case, head shaving), only to turn around and confess to all at the first opportunity. Strange. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out...no jail time required. Great chapter though, I do watch other true crime videos and none are as good or nearly as detailed as yours. Rochelle was a child, the two guys were adults approaching 30. They were too old to be hanging out with a girl her age. If they were genuinely concerned for her well being they should’ve called CPS. The reaction of grown men upon hearing the whinges of a teenager should not be to murder the mother! If they were her age, then maybe it would be understandable, though not excusable, but they were almost twice her age and almost 30.
