Hey Mike, on the topic of the fact that most serial killers start in their 20's and it's odd that Bruce started in his 50's...there are a string of unsolved murders in "the village" during the 70's and 80's when Bruce would have been in his 20's. I remember watching a doc on the CBC that basically stated it's very plausible that he could have been responsible for these murders as he was working in the city at the time. Very curious. There is definitely a lot of discrimination and misconduct from the police as it relates the gay community in Toronto so I'm not surprised that they aren't looking into these unsolved cases further. Very sad.

I noticed serial killers using their hands as a weapon choose victims that are smaller, easier to handle, but this guy was prowling for big men. When the guy got away from him in the van, … I don't mean to laugh, but i imaging the van rocking from one end to another. I live in Toronto. I actually lived on that same street at that time he was arrested. It's not in the gay village, but it's a very quick car ride. I liked all the extra information I learned from this. He was a huge POS for sure. The cops definitely boggled this. It gave him time to continue, I think race was less a part in the problem as lack of interest into investigating crimes in the gay community.

Hi, Mike! Good to see you again, although you should be enjoying your vacation! This case... I can only explain the INDIFFERENCE of the police by the fact that almost all the victims were gay AND foreigners, and worst, from 3rd world countries. It took the disapearance of a white man, albeit also gay, but very well known, probably even outside the LGBTQ+ community, to kick them into action... And to think that, if they'd be more diligent, many of these murders could be prevented. Also, the diagnostic post-first offence was very accurate... NOT! 😲🙄 Love ya!

Omg thank you for finally covering this case. I reside in Ontario and was living in Toronto at the time of this investigation and I just cannot believe all the shit that went down with the police and their utter neglect. They literally had him and they let him go! So sad that several murders could have been prevented.
