I knew Lydia in high school, so I've followed her story very closely, and after the strength she has shown, I'm proud to have known her, even by acquaintance. 2 days after getting out of the coma, she wrote a 3 line statement that was read at the sentencing. It was read for her because she could not yet speak, due to the damage from the attack. It read, “Travis Forbes, you caused me no harm. My spirit, my soul and my mind remain untouched. May you find peace in this life.”
