Of course, it wasn’t just her, but she was “The Most Hated Woman in America.” It’s a fascinating case- solved, to be sure, but it took quite some time before the answer presented itself. One of the reasons Lindy Chamberlain was convicted of the murder of her daughter Azaria was because she didn't show any emotion in court. She'd been raised in a tough household in a tough neighbourhood and no-one showed emotion; it was seen as weakness. Lindy later said if she knew the jury put so much store by her emotions, she would have let them all out, showing them how she really felt that her little baby was gone and would never be found again. Lonely bones and dust in the leafy canopy at the centre of Uluru (then Ayers Rock).

I love Canada and the Canadian people, but some of their police agencies are pretty bad. The OPP and RCMP are in the news every month for some kind of scandal or screw-up. Great videos as always.

It was Detective Superintendent Jim Smyth that was the Lead Investigator on this case. He was also the Lead in the Russell Williams case. It was Detective Smyth who found Tori’s body. After driving for hours on a Sunday he had a hunch, stopped and found her. In my opinion, Jim Smyth is a hero.

I'm not arguing with your perception, it was a personal view. I've just never seen the mother of a missing child react quite that way at a press conference before unless she had something to do with it but clearly aside from potentially having the same drug dealer/links with the woman who kidnapped the little girl, she had nothing to do with it. A very sad case.

Strange as in the same clip he admitted to not being around for 9 years of her life...her mother was. The woman who kidnapped her was very emotional. Emotions aren't a reliable way to judge people as Tori's mother suggested.

Update after watching. Well covered, Mike. There are some more detailed documentaries on this case. TL is a despicable excuse of a human. She was alone with Tori a number of times and could have saved her. There is a lot of speculation that she was much more involved. Straight up trash.

Despicable people!! During the interrogation I swear it looked like that awful woman's face kept morphing into a beastly looking face with black eyes. I know the cameras aren't very high quality but I've watched many of these and that really stood out to me for some reason. I've caught plenty of glitches before in a lot of these videos but never saw someones face look like it kept changing to something that looked like a demon. That poor baby girl. 💔
