I live in Iowa and this was huge news at the time. It still gets reported on occasionally around the abduction anniversary. But this is the best summary of the events and suspects I have ever seen. Great job, Mike. I had no idea that John Vanscice had those search warrants served!

One thing about search warrants, you cannot get them just because you want them, they have to have some evidence to have a Judge sign the warrant. They may have wanted to keep him on his toes, but that would not be the only reason.
