sketchbook dump/insane ramblings/plans.. HAPPY 2025!!
🕑 Added 2025-01-05 04:29:56 +0000 UTCHELLO ! happy belated new year !! i hope everything is going well with all of you!! thank u so much for ur support as always.. heres some sketchbook doodles since i havent had the chance to really draw , i was too busy relaxing and petting my dog , but here are some plans that i have for 2025!!
the first four doodles are all EWLAT related:
the first page is me trying to figure out what lana looks like . shes in the film wayyyy in the background-- in the second act where lawrence and toni argue in lawrence's apartment, there is a picture of a little girl holding a baby. thats lana and luka/lawrence :+) the same picture is in the Group Therapy comic. but here i wanted to flesh out her face a bit; in my mind, her and luka have pretty narrow eyes (since lawrences huge eyes are a trauma response from the disaster), and her nose is a bit more sharp and angled downwards. i might make the age gap between the siblings a bit less severe in the future, more like 4-6 years rather than something like 11.
second page and third page are just younger lawrences, after high school lawrence shaved his head and kept it that way until halfway thru college when he just decided to grow it out again . college lawrence is so miserable its very appealing to me for some reason . maybe its projection lol
fourth page is the ewlat crew .. i drew it when amy and i's flight got delayed by an hour
OK... NEW CHARACTERS FOR A NEW STORY ALERT ... 🚨
the first two pages are me figuring out the design of the main character, alana ! she is an old character, along with computer lab girl (ive made a few drawings of her and even a 1 week film) that im reprising for a long form comic im currently trying to figure out the story of rn. all i know is that the title is going to be "anatomy of a computer girl", and im making a separate collection on patreon for them as i develop them further!
the last three drawings are life drawings and a work comic ..
as for my 2025 plans, im going to try to make a few films in the first bit of the year.
i'll be working on a sort of trailer for ewlat tmtt for the physical comics, a rough idea of it right now is ACHE playing a song in the background and there are scenes from the comic that are animated over it .
i am also going to make a mini film of agnes !! im going to figure out a script for my va, maija burnett, to voice before animating . i think it would be cute to animate an interview with agnes and she describes her day, her work process and so on. im excited bc i really love agnes shes so fun to draw ..
i alr explained anatomy of a computer girl above but i will try to upload any progress to here as soon as i can !
the bigger idea for EWLAT as a whole is still very rough at the moment, and im currently trying to wrangle everything together -- kind of like remembering a dream or putting a puzzle together . though i have vague ideas of the stories, arcs, etc, i want to get a solid plot all figured out. i think im getting there.. im so lucky amy wants to be a part of it because she's a literal genius , she helps the characters feel like human beings and also is just as invested in the world as i am . she also helped me write the argument scene in the film, which is one of my favorite scenes in the whole thing..
i also bought a journal because i have mental problems and want to become a little bit more normal
thats all .. much love :+) <3
