Crub Newsletter - End of March 2025 Edition
🕑 Added 2025-03-31 22:18:45 +0000 UTCCompletely transparently, these were weekly then I (Chris) realized I hate that, so they're now every other week. I leave "biweekly" out of my vocabulary since it means two different things, which is bullshit. The header photo is also bullshit, I was just Googling "person at drive through" at 5:44 PM on a Monday because this is what I have going on right now. I've had multiple people DM me in privacy about Brody's Taco Bell orders from the Wii U episode, so it's still on my mind. I hate how much I've thought about Taco Bell lately. What are these newsletters about again? If this is the first one of these you've ever clicked, hit that Follow button. I'm going to need that to balance out how the other crubbers feel when they see that this is how I started this one. #BlessUp
Our livestreamed bracket pitting fictional video game character teams against each other has been released for Crubscribers. 3 hours of basketball lingo, deception, and upheavals all to see Who Can Slam The Best. Our next very stupid bracket is in the planning stages now, the tease we will give is that it will be about "Industry Plants".

Our second episode of Boolatro went up last week, with Nicco inviting me (Chris) to join. We got into our school traumas and regrets, all while Nicco absolutely killed it in game. Balatro, baby. You played this shit?

OUR APRIL BOOK CRUB HAS BEEN DETERMINED. Voted by our lovely Crubscribers in our Discord (link at the bottom), we'll be discussing Bioshock Infinite with YOU on Friday, April 25th. We have 7 PM Eastern locked down at the moment, so you have almost a month to play through the main game. This date MIGHT move around depending on overall availability, so stay tuned for updates. We're good at this.
For those on our audio tier, the next Podcastémon goes up in a week with me, Kevin, and Justin discussing Pokemon The Movie 2000. If you haven't listened yet, this would be a good time to jump in as we are moving right along to the beginning of Johto. Or you can take your time and catch up at your leisure with the existing 20 episodes. We love Podcastémon more than anything else we make. That's mostly a joke. Kind of. Justin makes some sad enchiladas and we love those more.
Trav released a loveletter to Garn47 last week! Go support Trav and these cat things (no spoilers).
Closing thoughts for the week: crub (as a Brand) is approaching 2 years of existence in May. We recorded what will be our 100th episode this past week. As I type this with those cats watching every keystroke, I feel grateful that anyone finds us worth listening to, or that anyone is still at the end of this newsletter. We'll be thanking you again as these milestones come but let me get out in front of those thank yous and say, Thank You. RIP George Foreman. You would have loved Garn47.
