Music Art June - POLL!
🕑 Added 2023-06-11 19:39:38 +0000 UTCHello and welcome to this lovely monthly poll! I'm super excited I won't lie to you..!
I asked you for super colorful, proud and lovely songs and aw I loved every single one you suggested! My turn now... I think it's the second time, but I've been listening to this song since I came back home from London so:
It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane by Omar Rudberg
I really love the original song by The Ark, but Omar gives a fresh vibe to this amazing song.
"In this kiss I'll change your bore for my bliss
Let go off my hand and it will slip on the sand if you don't
Give me the chance to break down the walls of attitude"
I'd love to picture this as a conversation between them, a simple kiss and the world is more colorful. There is the theme of hand holding (and I'm weak for this), and to "break the rules" with something, like them being heroes and in love, despite the society looking at them in criticizing way.
"And if you think I'm corny then it will not make me sorry
It's your right to laugh at me and in turn, that's my opportunity, to feel brave"
They are going to the pride march, not minding if some idiot will make fun of them: they are brave together, they are stronger.
"'Cause it takes a fool to remain sane
Oh, it takes a fool to remain sane"
I can literally see them in my head: looking at each other with wide a smile, even a playful laugh on their lips, so much their cheeks hurt.
"Every morning I would see her getting off the bus the picture never drops, it's like a multicolored snapshot stuck in my brain, it kept me sane.
For a couple of years, as it drenched my fears of becoming like the others"
They count on each other to keep being themselves, knowing that they love each other, care for each other and that they will fight and protect the other.
"'Cause they've forgotten how to play or maybe they're afraid to feel ashamed
To seem strange, To seem insane, To gain weight, to seem gay"
No matter the world against them: they will say "fuck you" to the world and keep loving each other.
"I'll take it to the stage! So, take it to the stage in a multicolored jacket
Take it jackpot, crackpot, strutting like a peacock
Nail varnish Arkansas, shimmy-shammy feather boa
Crackpot haircut, dye your hair in glowing red and blue"
Pride march, with their friends, having fun and being teenagers in love, even letting themselves go a little (can you picture Bakugou dancing a little? eheh)
"Do, do, do what you wanna do
Don't think twice, do what you have to do
Do, do, do, do, let your heart decide
What you have to do, that's all there is to find"
A kiss, maybe a little too much long, in front of whoever: it doesn't really matter until is the two of them the world can literally disappear.
Oh, it takes a fool to remain sane...
Gosh I love this song XD Sorry, I over-analyzed it and ended up basically copy-pasting the entire song lol, but it's worth a try, listen here!
Now! It's time to vote!!! Like the other polls this month I'm allowing multiple choices, so chose 2 or 3 songs that you really like, in case of a tie I'll chose the most inspiring one ;)
You have time until Thursday 13th June at 23:59 pm CEST!
