Painting Textures | December 2024 Tutorial
🕑 Added 2024-12-21 16:00:09 +0000 UTCTextures tutorial! Been meaning to work on this one for a while now. This should really help out with your understanding of how different surfaces react to light. This will be a more advanced topic and may be more challenging for beginners, but I recommend a watch through no matter what skill level you're at! There's something to take away for everyone here.
I'll attach some extra refs along with the psd file below! Thanks so much for taking the time to learn and remember to put it into practice to retain the knowledge! :)

This is so helpful, but I'm still trying to draw my sketches right lol 🥲

Thank you. Some artists say one should just draw what we see, but I like the way you explain the 'why' because it helps to draw from imagination. Thank you for this tutorial.

Thank you for your tutorials. Your Parteon content is awesome but the tutorials are pure gold.

thank you so much for the tutorial! I was ‘fighting’ with water on one of my arts a couple of days ago. I totally didn't understand how it worked and was trying to find the logic behind it, thank you so much for explaining the nature of how this or that material and anything in general works. You are invaluable, you have helped me a lot :3

Thanks Sam! This was so helpful Also I think it could be a funny video idea to try and draw a character relying heavily on textured brushes 🤷♀️

Just as I was struggling with some matte armor on a character I get an email and Sam is to the rescue. Edit: Patreon Sam at the end struggling to not be YouTube Sam when mentioning the uses for water droplets... lmao
