Personally, I think you should go ahead and draw anything. Artistic skill will come with time and skill (you might have heard that a lot, but I just wanted to point that out). Since your watching Sam's videos, that's already a lot of knowledge right there (Yes, we love you Sam) so you can go ahead and experiment with his style or other artists styles. Art can vary between a artists country origin, age, personality, preferences and much more and hopefully you can find a style that fits you best :D All the best from me, hope you have a smooth journey!
