Haha I mean I spent the first 10 minutes of Donaghy's story painting him as a lifelong liar/cheat which the author of that book seems to have ignored. Obviously, everything Donaghy says about his involvement in the scandal should be taken with a grain of salt. This case is obviously that author's pet project so I'll let him try to sell his book on my timeline.

Gonna be real, this one is a nice break from all the episodes about horrifying human rights abuses or sexual assaults. Not that those aren't important, but its nice to have a simple sports scandle one sometimes.

ACC, can you help me connect the dots? Wasn’t Jimmy the Gent from Goodfellas fame (the Robert deniro character) eventually busted for b-ball pointshaving and part of the Gambino crime family? The whole “oops we picked up this crime from a wiretap for a DIFFERENT crime” also sounded like the Casino movie downfall. OK maybe I’ve just watched those movies a little too much...

Haven't watched yet, but I read a book about this one from the perspective of one of the bookies Donaghy worked with. The bookie somehow came off as the more honest party!
