Change to patron's rewards
🕑 Added 2023-05-21 17:24:43 +0000 UTCWith the soon release on steam, I thought it was a good idea to make some changes to the patreon rewards. I'd like to make everything more consistent between the three platforms (itch, steam, patreon).
Itch keys:
Starting in this update, I am giving itch keys to anyone that supported on patreon with at least €15 (previously it was €20).
On itch, the game is sold for 15$ and that will also be the Europe/USA price on steam (poorer countries usually have a lower price).
This way, every platform has the same price and anyone can pick which is the better way for them to get the game and support it's development.
Lower patreon tier (€2):
Until now, this tier got the access to the game 2 weeks after the release on patreon. I'm not happy with this because:
1. That's too long after release, by that time the game is already in all pirate websites.
2. That's too little money to get the most recent update of the game. It used to be fine with less chapters, but now the game already has a good amount of gameplay.
In light of that, from chapter 7 onwards I'll stop giving the lower tier access to the latest release of the game, and treat it just as a lower supporting tier for anyone that doesn't want to be on the higher ones.
To compensate for that loss, tier 1 patrons will get access to chapter 6 just 1 week after release (next Friday) instead of the usual two weeks.
But, in the next big updates (chapter 7 onwards), tier 1 patrons won't have access to the download files anymore.
I think these are reasonable changes, but let me know if you disagree with anything.

So you think the level 1 tier is better if they get it from pirate sites than from you? Because that will happen. I think that will be a bad idea

You got an itch key in the first batch of keys I sent, back in May last year. It should be in the email you used on patreon. I'll sent it again by message here.
