{Chapter 32} Simulation Ends ~
🕑 Added 2025-10-09 12:43:10 +0000 UTC“It's such a hassle...”
Kaelis murmured, her expression gradually turning serious.
Frankly speaking, although the opponent seemed like a complete pervert, Kaelis had to acknowledge her strength.
She really was strong...
Kaelis had just kicked with full power, yet the other person didn't seem fazed at all.
“Please be careful. Her strength... is at the Warrior level...”
Seren frowned, moving to stand beside Kaelis as the frontline.
At this moment, the opponent had already revealed her Warrior Ring.
When an Ascender reaches the third stage, a white ring will float around their body surface, this is a symbol of their abilities condensing to a certain degree.
The biggest difference between a Warrior and a regular Ascender, visually, is that the Warrior's ring will display color.
“...The irregular patterns on the ring... she should be a Mage-type Warrior from the Path of Indulgence..."
Seren warned Kaelis cautiously.
But Kaelis just looked confused.
“Huh?”
She had barely managed to understand what a Warrior was and how they differed from Ascenders, and now Seren was throwing in terms like “Mage-type Path of Indulgence”... What did that even mean?
“...I'll explain everything properly once we get back.”
Seren sighed helplessly, but still lowered her head to speak.
‘Once we're safely back at the camp, I'll explain all of this.
For now, let's just fight.’
“Fine.”
Although Kaelis felt Seren's words carried a suspicious air of tempting fate, she also knew this wasn't the time to dwell on it.
Perverted or not, this Inquisitor's strength was unquestionable.
From just a few exchanges, Kaelis could clearly feel this opponent was completely different from the ordinary Ascenders she'd fought before.
Those Ascenders were strong, sure, but at least their movements were visible to her, her attacks could land and cause damage.
But... this Inquisitor was different.
Explosive power, destructive force, physical resilience...
In every aspect, she far surpassed any previous opponent.
Kaelis's attacks weren't even breaking through her defense!
And precisely because of that, the Inquisitor could afford to stand calmly against Kaelis's counterattacks, perhaps, in her eyes, Kaelis's struggles were nothing more than childish tantrums...
To put it bluntly, just another petty little trick trying to lure her in~
Ugh.
Thinking about it makes Kaelis shiver with disgust.
But she didn't panic. Instead, she quietly reached into her pocket...
Seren immediately understood Kaelis's intention. She stayed silent for a moment, then without a word, dashed forward!
Straight at the opponent!
But facing Seren's attack, the Inquisitor seemed only angry.
“You're not interesting.”
With that, she suddenly kicked!
Seren raised her longsword to block almost instantly.
But she had seriously underestimated the gap between a regular Ascender and a Warrior.
She didn't even see when the attack landed, just one strike, and her body was sent flying!
Her arm bones shattered in an instant!
“What?!”
Seren's pupils contract sharply, her expression shifting rapidly!
But the Inquisitor merely showed a mocking smile.
That's it?
‘I've lost interest in playing…’
And in that brief moment, she gave Kaelis her chance!
Without hesitation, Kaelis lunged forward!
From her waist, a scroll was suddenly whipped out!
During the army's days of rest, Kaelis hadn't been idle. After realizing that pre-drawing artworks could enhance her combat power, she had started seriously thinking, what kind of things could she draw that would both surprise the enemy and deliver a powerful, high-intensity attack within just a few seconds?
While the Horned Wyvern was formidable, as a ferocious beast battles, its real advantage lay in prolonged. But for Kaelis's needs, what she really wanted was a burst of overwhelming damage within mere seconds...
After much contemplation, Kaelis finally found inspiration from a carriage that had passed right before her eyes...
Throughout history, the charge of a vehicle always possessed unstoppable destructive power...
Receive greetings from another world!
It's you, then!
King the 100-Ton!
“Vrooooom— !!!!”
A sudden roaring sound erupted as a crimson technological construct surged down from the sky!
Its dark, imposing form proclaims its dominance!
The Inquisitor, confronted with something utterly beyond her comprehension, froze in momentary shock.
And in that split second of hesitation, she missed her best chance to escape!
A massive impact crashed down directly!
But it wasn't over yet!
The reason Kaelis named it “King the 100-Ton!” wasn't just because of its own power.
More important... was the cargo it carried behind!
“Rumble—!”
Steel Coil: Pure numerical superiority, kid!
Several bundles of steel, each weighing dozens of tons, pass with sheer physical force. At first glance, the Inquisitor didn't take it seriously, but the moment contact was made, her face suddenly turned blood-red.
Wait, what the hell is this?!
“Boom!”
She raised both hands, gritting her teeth desperately trying to hold it back.
But clearly, this terrifying kinetic energy was beyond human resistance.
She roared, and her body instantly took on a metallic texture!
Even so, against pure brute force, her resistance remained dismissed.
The steel rolled over her body, the sound of metal twisting and deforming so intense it made one's scalp crawl.
When they opened their eyes again, where was the Inquisitor?
Just... just like that?
The remaining squad members stared in shock.
They had testified with their own eyes how the opponent mercilessly slaughtered their comrades... that absolute, undisputed terror had once filled them with despair.
But...
Just like that?
Kaelis had only been fighting her for a few minutes, right?
And... it was already over?
Huh?!
In an instant, everyone's expression towards Kaelis changed completely.
Reverence, fear, relief, and recognition...
These emotions erupted simultaneously, making their faces exceptionally complex.
But Kaelis suddenly brightened her eyes.
“Something's wrong!”
“Huh?”
Everyone froze, not understanding the problem, when Kaelis suddenly looked down.
Right where the Inquisitor had stood moments ago, there was now a sunken hole in the ground!
She... she burrowed underground and escaped?!
No! She didn't escape!
Although faint, the vibrations were real... and they were nearby!
Kaelis instinctively narrowed her pupils.
And then, right behind her, the ground suddenly bulged!
A hand pierced through the earth.
Following it, a distorted metallic figure leapt up!
Her face had been flattened by the steel coil, features completely unrecognizable, yet somehow, she was still alive!
She launched into mid-air, her throat emitting a distortion, eerie scream from damaged vocal cords.
Kaelis, caught off guard, was suddenly ambushed at point-blank range!
Bad!
Kaelis's heart clenched.
Her breath caught.
Her face gradually turned pale...
Her hand reached toward the other scrolls at her waist, but she was far too slow!
She's in trouble!
At that moment, the man Kaelis had saved earlier suddenly charged out.
“Die!!”
He roared. In this crisis, he overcame his fear, driving him forward as he rushed out with his spear!
He was an Ascender too... Though merely at the first stage, this level was enough for him to fulfill his role!
With a furious yell, he brute-forced his way, using the spear to shove the Inquisitor away from Kaelis!
Once again, creating an opportunity for Kaelis!
Kaelis's eyes snapped into focus.
Instinctively, her hand found the scrolls at her waist...
Two scrolls left... use them together? Or one at a time?
Looking at the opponent's grotesque, screaming form, Kaelis clenched her teeth.
‘No mercy. I only have one chance!’
No time to think, she immediately flung out two scrolls she hadn't even finished drawing.
Identical Horned Wyverns emerged as faint illusions in mid-air, but they couldn't fully manifest!
A powerful resistance pressed against Kaelis's chest. Instantly, she felt as if her blood had been blocked by some barrier.
Intense pain coursed through her body, causing slight tremors, every nerve screamed at her to give up.
But seeing the Inquisitor still struggling to rise, Kaelis gritted her teeth hard.
Fuck you!
In an instant, blood gushed from her mouth!
Her blood surged violently through her veins!
Meditation Technique! Activate!
“Ow— !!”
The colors on the scrolls writhe. The tyrant of the desert appeared once again in reality.
They roared, declaring their power to the world!
Their bodies dove from mid-air, twisting!
Their powerful, muscular forms erupted with infinite strength!
Double Horned Wyvern Flying Hammer!!!
“Boom, !”
“Vroooom— !”
This heaven-shattering blow strikes like a sledgehammer against everyone's chest. The intense explosion instantly robbed them of their hearing, leaving only strange buzzing sounds... Blood trickled from several people's ears, their bodies swaying uncontrollably...
Everyone was disenchanted by the monstrous power before their eyes...
Although Kaelis had previously demonstrated this ability, only now, seeing it up close, did they truly understand just what level of destruction this attack represents...
They... couldn't utter a single word...
The Inquisitor, struck by the Horned Dragons, could no longer hold on. She collapsed, reverting from her metallic state, her body reduced to a bloody mess.
Kaelis stood still, pale-faced, silently watching it all.
Then...
She let out a long breath...
Her eyes rolled white.
