{Chapter 31} Run Masochist is so evil
🕑 Added 2025-10-09 12:42:01 +0000 UTCKaelis didn't think she had any skill in reading people... but some individuals, even if you aren't good at such things, you can sense something wrong just by looking at them...
For example... the Imperial Inquisitor standing before her right now...
Her body trembled slightly, an eerie flush spreading across her face, her breathing growing heaviest. Her gaze toward Kaelis seemed to pierce right through clothing...
That blatant greed made Kaelis especially irritated.
The giant beast beside her gradually disappeared as the time limit expired, and Kaelis slowly descended to the ground.
At her side, the loyal Seren followed closely.
The two women locked eyes with the Imperial Inquisitor across the scattered remnants of their team.
Under the moonlight, Kaelis stood tall and poised.
“Ah~ I found you...”
The clearly mentally unstable Inquisitor stared at Kaelis, her words coming out in a dense, chilling murmur.
Her crimson tongue licked her lips, her entire body trembling, pupils rapidly dilating and contracting, indicating her mental state had once again spiraled into perversion.
Three days ago, when the rebels breached the capital's castle, she had actually been present.
Faced with the overwhelming sea of rebel forces, she hadn't intervened... After all, the Emperor's orders were merely to observe the rebels' movements.
And that very night, she had witnessed firsthand as Kaelis suddenly emerged from within the city, charging all the way to the battlements and flinging the gates wide open.
Kaelis might not have noticed her hiding in the shadows, but she had seen every moment of Kaelis's actions clearly.
From her decision command of personnel, to the subsequent announcements from the watchtower, from the single strike eliminating that third-stage Ascender, to later standing atop the moonlit observation deck like a pure white Valkyrie, her cold eyes filled with a strange sense of detachment from this world...
Just that one glance, and she was certain...
This girl was exactly the one she had dreamed of finding, the perfect candidate to become her puppet!
So she volunteered herself to defend this dangerous inner city, all to track down Kaelis's whereabouts... she couldn't wait to capture her and drag her into her interrogation chamber!
Yes... yes...
Especially that look of disgust and revulsion...
The more Kaelis showed her disdain, the more excited she became.
She thoroughly enjoyed watching others fall, delighting in seeing them struggling desperately in pain and agony, sobbing and screaming.
That sensation...
“Ten out of ten... You're the first person to ever receive this score!”
The Inquisitor spoke, giving Kaelis an extremely high evaluation.
Kaelis merely curled her lips, glaring at the woman with hostility.
“So should I thank you then?”
Although last time she'd been captured, Kaelis immediately ended the simulation by committing suicide, judging from the system's later evaluation, it seemed the woman had done... certain things to her corpse. While Kaelis hadn't personally experienced it, those brief descriptions alone were enough to make her skin crawl.
Even in the most extreme content, this would be considered too heavy!
“Everyone, gather over here...”
While Kaelis was speaking with the woman, Seren was urgently reorganizing the remaining team members.
At this moment, the two women nearby snapped back to their senses, shrieking and scolding Seren.
“You lowborn wretch! You mud-born trash! Do you even know who we are?!”
They had just barely managed to escape the battlefield, but then they ran into Kaelis's group. Without wasting words, Kaelis had immediately summoned a giant ape to capture them and force them to lead the way.
This sent their barely calmed nerves skyrocketing once again.
Even though, in Seren's eyes, they hadn't even moved a hundred meters away from the battlefield, hardly what could be called safe, these two women clearly failed to grasp that concept.
They just screamed, venting their fury.
Seren frowned as well.
But she remained silent, offering no response.
Besides her, Kaelis could no longer tolerate it.
The high-pitched shrieking was unpleasant enough, but the arrogant insults were making her increasingly angry.
Without turning around, she simply waved her hand.
“Wo—!”
A low growl slowly emerged from behind the two women.
Their voices instantly choked, like ducks with their throats squeezed, no longer able to act arrogantly.
Only then did Kaelis slowly turn her head, casting a cold glance.
“It's you two...”
Should she say fate brings enemies together?
The two women standing before Kaelis now were none other than the two Viscount's daughters she had encountered at the Military Academy...
Earlier, Kaelis had been focused solely on rushing to support, so she hadn't noticed this detail.
“You?!”
Only now did the two women realize that the leader of this squad was actually Kaelis.
Instantly, their faces flushed red, clearly preparing to start cursing again.
But Kaelis merely waved her hand slightly, and a warm sensation surged onto their necks...
“I'm not some bloodthirsty maniac who kills randomly, but I do have my temper...”
Kaelis spoke quietly, while behind the two women, the monstrous ape opened its jaws wide.
Kaelis turned her gaze away from them, speaking calmly and coldly.
“I'm already angry as it is. If you keep making noise, then die right here.”
“How dare you threaten me?!” One of the women's face twisted grotesquely at Kaelis's threat. She felt her entire body burning with rage, almost instinctively shouting out.
“I'll tell my father about this! You...”
“Boom!”
The giant ape didn't waste a single word, its jaws snap shut!
Accompanied by a heart-wrenching crunching sound, under everyone's horrified stares, the woman's body crumpled limply to the ground.
“Noisy...”
Kaelis's calm voice finally drifted out...
Instantly, everyone froze.
They stared in terror at Kaelis's back... Although they had been thoroughly angered by this Viscount's daughter as well, they had never dared to say anything. After all, no matter how irritating she was, there was still a fundamental difference in status, between commoners and nobles lay a towering cliff they didn't dare to look upon directly.
But Kaelis clearly didn't care about any of that.
Kaelis simply wanted to do whatever she wanted!
At least in her eyes, everyone in this world was the same... as long as killed, they would die.
Killing a noble's daughter wasn't much different from killing a dog...
“So even taking another's life doesn't stir any emotion in you? Now I'm even more eager to see the look on your face when you're screaming and begging for mercy!!”
The Inquisitor laughed, having observed this entire farce. She felt she now had a slight understanding of Kaelis's abilities, so she no longer restrained herself and suddenly lunged forward!
Kaelis didn't speak, merely frowning and stepping back with Flower footwork.
With a flick of her hands, several hounds burst forth from the void!
“Get lost!”
The Inquisitor didn't waste words, kicking out directly!
That distorted face drew closer and closer to Kaelis.
“Come quietly... to my basement! I'll make you experience what true pleasure really is!”
She laughed madly.
This made Kaelis involuntarily frown even deeper.
Beside her, Seren naturally wouldn't stand by and watch the enemy approach her beloved Kaelis. Her body exploded forward, blades turning into white light as she instantly pressed down!
“Stay away from her!”
“Impossible!”
“Boom!”
The blades struck the woman's body, yet suddenly sparked violently.
Seren was repelled backward by the counterforce, while the woman merely paused momentarily.
A moment later, her eyes, burning with hot desire, lifted once more, locking onto Kaelis.
This made Kaelis feel particularly uncomfortable.
“Tch... shut up!”
Muttering under her breath, she suddenly kicked out hard!
Empowered by a third-stage Ascender, even though Kaelis's body wasn't rigorously trained, she still unleashed power capable of shattering stone!
Straight into the Inquisitor's chest!
The Inquisitor was sent flying backward several meters by this blow!
But lifting her head again, she didn't look pained, her face was even redder than before.
Her voice trembled.
“Ah~ This feeling... I love your vitality...”
The more violently Kaelis resisted, the more Kaelis overlooked her, and the more Kaelis overlooked her, the more delighted she felt when applying her methods.
So being struck by Kaelis didn't make her resentful, in fact, she grew even more excited.
This caused Kaelis's expression to turn even more disgusted.
Kaelis recalled a phrase she'd read before.
‘I want to hit you, but I'm afraid you'll enjoy it too much…’
“Tch... masochists are truly disgusting...”
Kaelis asserted, while the Imperial Inquisitor before her merely narrowed her eyes with a smile.
Behind her... a dark purple halo... slowly emerging…
