The Class Change (Part 4/?)

As class began Steven took his seat. As he crossed his legs and took out his notebook, he couldn’t but help think about Mr. Thompson. The way he got nervous after he looked into his eyes was interesting… in fact in it was adorable. Steven smiled to himself as he began doodling hearts in his notebook. In each one he wrote Mr Thompson, trying to improve his handwriting on each one. Thoughts raced through his head, thoughts he’d never had before. But it was almost perfect… the thought of him and Mr Thompson.. he didn’t know why, he literally hated him until 20 minutes ago. But the thought of his embrac… “Isn’t that right Steven?” Mr Phillips cut off Steven’s day daydream, “Uh yeah” he said agreeing, not know what he agreed to. “Perfect! You will be the first to go then next week for our year end presentations next week!” Steven shook his head, “Fuck” He muttered under his breath, “What are we doing exactly Mr. Phillips?” Mr Phillips looked at him and smiled, “Teaching a class period of course Mr. Rockford! You better start preparing!” Steven unenthusiastically nodded, he usually was enthusiastic about Computer Science but he just wasn’t wasn’t feeling it today. He looked around the class, nobody was really working on their coding project. It was weird, usually Lenny or Chris were always doing their work. Today, they were gossiping about the AV club. Mr Phillips usually walked around the class and offer help, today he was at his desk reading magazine. It sure was weird, but Steven liked this new chillax format of the class.
Eric wiped the sweat off his forehead as he looked at his watch, it was 5pm. It had been 2 hours since Mr. Phillips’s class had gotten let out. He sighed to himself, he’d be pissed if he missed Monday night football tonight. The machine wouldn’t budge no matter what he did to it, he wanted to throw it across the room. He had never seen anything like it. “Fuck this thing I;m done.” He said to himself, he chucked it against the wall, instead of shattering like he expected the machine just bounced off the wall and hit the floor, only to start emitting the pink mist faster. He scrambled to the machine to try to turn it off for the 45th time, but with his face right over the mist he was slowly suffocating. He coughed as he felt a tickle in his throat. His eyes grew very puffy, his vision suddenly got tunneled, he coughed as he frantically tried to crawl towards the door. He coughed and coughed and coughed… then he was out.
Mr. Mutalo sat in his office watching his students mingle in the hallway. He hadn’t taken this much interest in his job since he got hired since setting the machine up in the old computer lab. He walked past the lab today to see the machine was on the double effect setting, he didn’t know what happened but he was interested to see the results, which wouldn’t be too long now. He casually walked outside to watch the sight of students being dropped off in the buzzing high school parking lot. Mr. Mutalo grimaced as he noticed that none of the traffic cones were set up. It was usually something Eric did every morning. Did he actually no call no show? After the school took a chance on him? Mr. Mutalo started to storm back to his office, but was interrupted by the sound of a loud buzzing.
He turned around to see a bright red mustang pulling into the school parking lot. As it pulled up the engine roared louder than the chatter of the students. As it pulled up a very muscular looking dude got out. Mr. Mutalo actually noticed him, as a hockey fan, he was an upcoming prospect for the local professional team. He was tall, handsome, and looked to be in his mid 20’s. He adjusted his backwards snapback as he opened the passenger side door revealing a teenage bombshell. She uncrossed her legs and took the mans hands as he helped her out of the car. “Thanks baby.” She gave the handsome guy and quick kiss on the lips. “Have a good day babe.” He put back on his sunglasses and back into the stylish car. Mr. Mutalo looked a the girl, he had never seen her before but he knew exactly who it was. She was wearing a white fuzzy minidress that she paired with a pair of cute sandals. As she walked towards Mr. Mutalo it was hard to believe she was in high school, she had to be one of the most attractive girls he’d ever seen. “Hey Mr. Mutalo!” She gave a cute wave as she walked past. Mr. Mutalo didn’t turn towards her, he stood like a robot, “Hi Erica.” He said with no emotion. As Erica walked through the doors of the school Mr. Mutalo looked at her thong through the bottom of her dress, “I’m so sorry Eric.” He whispered.
