QUESTION: I forgot to include before I hit send. Does anyone know the best way to store garlic powder long term. Currently I have several of the jars like AP just showed. They are packed away in a dark container in a cool place, dry, dark space. Should I pour the powder into mylar with an Oxygen Absorber and seal for longer shelf life? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Some years ago Michael Snyder of Epic Economist spoke about getting backup small household appliances (i.e. mixers, toasters, etc.) as the Big Event might not be an EMP. It really made me think in a broader perspective and not just one dimensionally. I did pick up spares (microwave, toaster, water pick, can opener, etc.).
