People gets dependent on those resources once they start to work and earn money they lose their Free medical, Food Stamps and rent assistance. That is big when you are just getting ready to make it on their own.

In Social Work 101 I learned that in order for families to receive any type of "welfare" assistance back in the day, no man could be in the home. Benefits workers would literally climb trees to try to peep into homes to ensure no adult male was present. This started in the ghetto urban areas, thus the exodus of the black male from the home. The government had used divisiveness to make us think in terms of black and white, and the media has been complicit with this agenda for some time. The face of the African American became the poster child for all things free from the government, but as I used to say about one military base I was stationed on that had horrible morale, "Everybody on this base is a slave, they got black slaves, and they got white slaves, and they got brown slaves, it don't matter what color you are, everybody is a slave." So while our eyes were focused on the hood, we failed to see that the reservation did the same thing to Native Americans as the "hood" did to blacks, that the barrios did to Latinos...and lest we forget, Appalachia, America's hidden secret of poor whites. Each of these groups have experienced generational poverty all by design. The guberment programs are NOT designed to help people out of their circumstances but to keep them right there in (as Gerald Celente would say) "Slavelandia." And as a bonus, the groups have tended to consider each other the enemy instead of idnetifying the real enemy, the Lord of the Manor. I have had family members who due to unforeseen circumstances had to temporarily depend on government assistance. They soon found out that the assistance was not meant to give them a helping hand but a boot on the neck. By the grace of God and kind employers who showed them favor they were able to escape to freedom. And we can't believe our lying eyes that every war fought on American soil was for the benefit of the people. The War on Poverty, the War on Drugs, the War on Crime - some declared in the early 60's, and we still have not won a single one. Not because we couldn't, but because it was all a sham and such "wars" were mere window dressings never meant to be won. I guess you could say my comments today are a continuation from yesterday, only this time with the focus inward on our nation as opposed to other "3rd world" nations.
